I hate these click bait story titles about "Tragic accidents" etc and then no explanation at all about any tragic accident. But most of the info in this video has been corroborated in other sources. I'm very dissappointed to find out Wayne Carrini treated Roger so badly and can no longer watch his show if it does come back or even the reruns. Evidently Wayne was just in it for himself What a dick.

Carini was a small time used foreign car dealer in CT for many years before the show. The show inflated his ego and made him think he was some big time expert and celebrity. They didn’t need a script. He made up his own persona for TV. Just more TV hype. Perhaps the publicity helped Roger a bit. Sadly that is just another case of a loyal worker who was screwed by his boss. Happens way too often.

As I recall when Roger, who was in his 80s, had his health problems a GoFundMe was started to help with medical bills because Wayne didn't have Roger on a employee health insurance plan. When this became public many fans voiced displeasure at Wayne's treatment of a man of Roger's age and skills. They promised to stop watching the show.

I have seen it and heard of it many many times throughout my life. I'm 75 years old and still working 40+ hours a week and plan on working for as long as I'm mentally and physically able to. ❤️🙏❤️

I always thought roger had a real talent for makin those cars run again after they had been sittin for so long, I thought alot of him. I would've paid to somebody like that workin in my shop, I would've paid good too, he reminds me of my older brother who passed away in 2016 always wanted to work on things and fix em, not too many people like that around anymore.

We have an old Black Bear in the neighborhood, been here for years The bear has a gray snout and walks with a limp. He doesn't bother anyone. I had named him Roger, after Roger Barr from the show. He hasn't appeared yet this Spring and he is probably 12+ years old. Nothing lasts forever.

Horrible research and reporting. She said Roger left because of health reasons, then right after that launched into other alleged reasons. This report could and would be torn apart under cross examination by a barely competent attorney. This report is mostly rumors and innuendo. I like Wayne and his show.

As a rabid classic car enthusiast, I've followed the exploits of Wayne and Roger for several seasons with admiration of Wayne's skill in selection of cars and Roger's skill in rebuilding these beauties. Wayne doesn't seem to give a damn whether anyone likes him or not; he just doesn't seem to care. It takes all types.

Yep! I was always suspicious of that. Seemed like he was screwing over the sellers - like the sellers were made to feel content with any price Wayne said just for the honor of Wayne himself buying the car and putting it on TV. I felt like he preyed on the sellers' sentimentality for the car they were selling telling them that it was going to a special place... That place? Money in his pocket.

What are you telling me that's exclusive? Each series has varying numbers of episodes! The actors....in the play....what? Obviously this is tv but Wayne isn't a actor, just somebody who knows about cars.....Wayne's childhood buddy...what? Roger is at least 20years older and used to watch Roger race when he was young and sometimes came to his father's garage. Wow, first of all the reporter did a hatchet job and it feels like there was an ulterior motive. Those in the hobby that know Wayne understand who he RALLY is. Is he perfect? No one is but he has done a lot for a lot of people very quietly. He is very knowledgeable for those that think he is not. He can twist a wrench and is a great painter. As to the show being canceled...not true. The contract was not renewed which happens to a lot of shows. Anyone who understands how these shows make it on the air and stay on it know very well that it is a difficult media to navigate these days.
