I saw Wayne County & the Electric Chairs in 1977 at the Electric Circus in Collyhurst, Manchester. They were followed by Talking Heads and then the Ramones! What a night, very hot, very sweaty, but great. I'm glad I was there.

Jayne County - Vocals Val Haller - Bass Henri Padovani - Guitar J.J. Johnson - Drums Elliot Michaels - Lead guitar ... is the correct lineup for this show.

Henry Padovani was the very first guitarist in The Police. I mean, the band with Sting, not the police force.

Does ANYONE know where Greg Van Cook is NOW? I grew up and went to school with him long before ANY of this entered his life. I've lost touch with him over the years but would like to touch base with him now if possible.

Saw them a lot at Max's in '79....seemed to appear there every month...but Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers were the greatest thing there at the time....Anyone remember Von L Mo?...another colorful entertainer who played often there....

Thanks for the info Peter. Take a look at my other Jayne County videos. I can only imagine all the stories you have of those days managing Jayne. Take care.

Where is Greg Van Cook now? Anyone know - can advise????
@petercrowley4116 жыл бұрын
There's no denying the genius of Greg Van Cook prior to 1978, but many recordings and videos prove The Electric Chairs survived his unfortunately necessary exit.

I remember helping to boo them off stage at Reading in about '74 or '75. They were utter sh*te.
