I have been using this foundation and powder about a week now. I absolutely love it. It is so natural looking yet covers beautifully. I have only used the puff that accompanied it, but I think you could nicely use a brush or beauty blender. I am 63 yo btw. 😀

@@GlitzyFritzy My lashes are so resistant to curl that I have to wear waterproof because if I put on regular mascara after I curl the lashes, the mascara just pulls the curl right out. Waterproof keeps the curl for me. The main reason I hear that people hate waterproof is that it's hard to remove. But if you get the Clinque Take the Day Off Lids, Lashes & Lips (the liquid in the bottle) it takes off the waterproof mascara in a jiffy without damaging the lashes at all.

In my case anyway ... the studio work I do is soul crushing but I think that I'm not really helping anybody if I don't come in so close you can actually see what flaws I have but I feel like personally just between you and I ... Yep ! I like the no prime side best , don’t complicate things . Buy 2 puffs one for foundation & one for powder and pop them in a Zipelock bag for touch ups if needed . Looks like a quick and easy application with long lasting results . That’s a buy ! Wayne Goss aced it .

Oh, yes, Mary! I meant to thank you for that especially. It is SO helpful that you let us look at them for a decent amount of time. So many KZbinrs say, “Well, just pause it,” but when I pause Apple TV on a KZbin video, the screen darkens, so that’s just useless. These swatches are fantastically helpful. Memories of the Max Factor Pan Stick. Wow. I loved his 2000 Calorie Mascara. Love the way the foundation looks on you. It is the perfect shade. I use the ByTerry every day over my concealer. It’s quite blurring and weightless. The last thing I need on my desert dry skin is a powder that absorbs moisture so I might like Wayne’s foundation but wouldn’t use his powder. Great video, thank you.

If the ByTerry works for you Kathleen I really suggest you stay with it. Wayne's powder isn't hydrating. Somebody once explained really well why the hydrating byTerry powder works for some people and not others and it had something to do with the weather where you are .... all I know is it doesn't work for me but IF it does work for somebody what a wonderful powder that would be!

I think it looked great on you. Here is my review I left at Beautylish after my first try (I love it) and I'll go full coverage the next try: Looking good at 11 hours on super duper oily skin My foundation arrived this morning JUST before I was going to apply foundation in my makeup routine (how thoughtful). I'm super super oily. I applied with my MAC stipling brush (how have we forgotten about stipling brushes?). It allowed the very sheerest application and fills in cracks, crevices and pores. The foundation is now looking good for 11 hours. I do have to blot and powder (this is a given). BUT instead of my oils dissolving the foundation and washing it down my nasolabial folds, it's just super shiny. Blotting did the most to set things to right. I'll try full coverage tomorrow just for science. It looks really good. I'm 68 and wear Huda stick in Apple Pie, Pat McGrath #10, and Chanel No 1 in BD21 (a very slight golden instead of a flat beige, not yellow). My skin tone is peach with a light olive undertone (i.e. grey when wearing certain colors).

Sorry, I just meant concealer in general! I’ve not had luck with any of them and I’ve tried all the combinations of primers, eye creams, concealers, powder, no powder, etc. Maybe judging while using a 10x magnifier is not realistic?

Hi Mary, I purchased the Wayne Goss blush not long after it came out and really disliked it. For what it cost it was a waste of money and I have drugstore blush that looks better and puts down more color. I purchased the peach color and it barely shows up. Someone told me it could be the brush I’m using… Sorry don’t think so! So I don’t think I will be purchasing this foundation. I took my time commenting on this one. I kept flip flopping on which side I thought looked better. I rewatched a couple of times just to look again at both sides. I'm sure this much intensity over application of foundation isn't what you were aiming for but I found this comparison really interesting. I ended up leaning towards the puff side but only minimally. When it got right down to it both sides were lovely. I truly believe a lot of it has to do with your skill in applying makeup and your gorgeous skin. I enjoy comparison videos very much. You are thorough and insightful. What I do know is this WG foundation would get 2 thumbs up from me. You've made a believer out of me with this one. Hope your weekend is happy and cozy. Hmmm while I like the finish I think the side where you just used Wayne’s products including puff looks best. But going back to the beginning of your video I liked how the foundation looked applied in just one layer with your fingers best. I thought the more natural look makes you look younger. The foundation looks great on you! But I’m not surprised! You make everything look great! I’m not sure if this is why Wayne made his mascara waterproof but I’ve heard him say that waterproof helps keep your lashes curled better. He used the analogy of not putting water on freshly permed hair cause it will straighten it so I guess the water in mascara will straighten your lashes!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@GlitzyFritzy I understand the not wanting the extra rubbing but I use the waterproof Great Lash & it comes right off with my first cleanse step which is usually an oil based product. The Josie Maran Cleansing Milk (I think it’s called) even easily removes it. The best thing I’ve done for my eyes (lids & under) recently is add a thin bit of Vaseline on them on top of whatever moisturizer I’ve used! Huge difference in fine lines & just looking smoother overall!

This foundation certainly was an absolute match, eh?! I don't think it could have been closer! I've not used a cream foundation ever, so I'm not even sure what the benefits are supposed to be with them ! I don't use a puff either, as I prefer to use a brush to apply my liquid foundations. Occasionally I use powder foundations with a brush too. I don't know how much these Wayne Goss products cost, but I'm thinking they are pricier like higher end cosmetics are. Also, I'm wondering if Wayne worked with RCMA to create the foundation. I know he mentioned that Alexis Vogel did (and I love RCMA). RCMA is high pigment low filler, which helps account for less gunk settling into lines and pores.

Hi Mary, The Wayne Goss’s creamy foundation looks very pretty on you. The side with the powder and puff looks like the better side in my opinion. Wayne’s puff is nice. I like that you can decide which side to use by switching the elastic. For 12 hours, both sides still look good. The foundation held up. Hi Mary new sub here, I’ve seen so many reviews of various foundations and powders that do the 4,8 and 12 hr check in, but never seen anyone do the cleanse test which was really helpful, thank you. I really would like the WG cosmetics but have lots to get through that I own already. It’s that never ending search for products for my 61 yo oily skin with some crepping under my eyes and loose skin on my lids that now look hooded, and the increasingly visible pores. I’ve found the Charlotte Tilbury compact the best so far, in fact quite remarkable, but as I support WG so much I want his products to work for me. I’m looking forward to watching your conclusions. I'm in agreement that I don't want foundations I can't apply as I usually do. That being said, I immediately thought the side with just his products looked more flawless after applied. I'm very interested in this so will be waiting to see how you get on with it after multiple uses. Did you use brush or his poof to apply the second time you liked better? Always gorgeous! What I really wanna know, is what's on your nails!? Beautiful!

I think though the ones I reach for the most are still the Beauty Blender Bounce Skin Tint and Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere. When summer comes in I'm sure I'll be back at the Lancome Teint Idole. I've been loving the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation too.

Curious- I’ve used Cinema Secrets for over 25 years- sometimes RCMA or Graftobian- all professional cream makeup. I love my Cinema Secrets and I know Wayne says he does too. Have you used CS? LOL I was surprised by it and I'm still wearing it...trying the best ways for me. Tomorrow I'll try it with a damp sponge on the foundation itself but overall I really do like it...it's not my favorite but I do like it. I will try it with a different powder next. I think it takes more than a first time to figure out the best way to use a product and I'm definitely finding that less is more with me and this :D

I have never used a Goss product. I'm not an expensive makeup buyer. I allow my self $25-40 for everything I need per month so I have to be careful where my dollars are spent with skincare etc... It can definitely be "lighter" you saw when I first put it on how I didn't think it looked like I even had anything on. Sometimes with the lights on me I have a hard time seeing exactly how much product I have on. you can go super light or full on thick!
