Em 1985, junto com Craig Adams, Wayne Hussey fundou o grupo de rock gótico The Mission. Eles venderam mais de 3 milhões de LPs/CDs e, no Brasil, ficaram conhecidos por "Severina", além de outros hits.

His voice is still supurb, in my opinion better with age. I'll never stop listening to the Mission, NMA and the great rock bands of that era. Timeless!!
