I accidentally pressed the first option by accident and I also regretted that decision, but I wonder if he still leaves if you give up being Batman when they will make a season 3

You're missing: "Turning aginst him on the bridge, pushed him to become Joker" to get this you need to in EP4 trust him in the funhouse and then betray him on the bridge.

That option is the best one, no doubt. No fight, no obstruction to Alfred's will, just goodbye to send someone you care about to a better life, the one he actually deserves. He's at peace and his reasons for leaving are nothing that Bruce doesn't already know. No need to be needy or stand in his way. Like Bruce said to Avesta in my playthrough, questionning every move he makes is what makes him better than the scum he hunts down. He doesn't need to let Alfred rant on and he doesn't need to stop him from leaving, that's what best for both of them.

3:05 the "Be My Butler" conversation got me a bit cracked up TBH. If I was Alfred, I also can't stand by and do cleaning, laundry, and other butler stuff while Bruce goes out at night as Batman.

Alfred has a point about Batman creating the evil he means to destroy. He was indirectly responsible for Harvey Dent's disfigurement, which accelerated his descent into madness. Bruce is indirectly responsible for Lucius's death and Riddler's assassination. Penguin, Lady Arkham, and especially Vigilante Joker were inspired by Batman's crusade. On the other hand, Penguin and Lady Arkham would have succeeded had Batman not been there to stop them because their main motivation was the cabal of Thomas Wayne, Falcone, and Mayor Hill. Dent would have been attacked and drugged regardless of Batman's presence or lack thereof. By Alfred's own admission, Riddler was a crime lord before Bruce took his first breath of air. Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, and Bane's criminal origins have nothing to do with Bruce or Batman, and Joker would have still ended up joining their pact. With this in mind, even though it means giving up Alfred, I think the best option overall is to give up Alfred. Ultimately, the lesson that can be drawn are: play nice with others and don't get too comfortable. The feds are supposed to work with local law enforcement, but Waller decided to supersede Jim Gordon's authority at every turn. Had she told him and Batman that The Pact's goal was to acquire that virus then they would have been significantly more willing to work with her and wouldn't be far less likely to suspect some ulterior end goal. Bruce and Alfred check the puzzle box for obvious death traps (explosives, poisons, etc.). If Bruce had just asked Lucius to check the box at the Batcave after work, or if he insisted that they check it in the lab, then Lucius wouldn't have died. Still, if Batman had checked surveillance the day after Riddler's death then he could confronted Tiffany much earlier. It's a shame that both options would have little merit in the cancelled Season 3 because they both would have been handwaved with a line or two of dialogue. The smart thing to do would be to have specific scenes address these outcomes, really make the player believe that no matter what, Bruce must don the cowl and cape, and use Alfred and Tiffany as a secret difficulty setting: ⚫Alfred + Tiffany = Easy ⚫Alfred/Tiffany = Normal ⚫No Alfred or Tiffany = Hard

Harvey was because of Bruce’s father. The COA, Lady Arkham and Penguin were all because of Bruce’s father.

Even if Batman saves Harvey Dent from his disfigurement, Harvey Dent still becomes Two-Face regardless of whether you save him at the debate or not and that was a lose-lose. As for Lucius Fox, Bruce Wayne would been down in Lucius’ office to save him if Avesta and Blake hadn’t stalled Bruce and interrogated him about his past. Plus, if Bruce Wayne/Batman didn’t solve the riddle, innocent people would’ve been hurt, and even though Bruce Wayne (with the help of Lucius Fox) solved the riddle, Riddler still hurt some people indirectly by murdering Lucius Fox. Vicki Vale became Lady Arkham because of Thomas Wayne murdering Vicki’s parents and the Vale’s abusing her when she was a child, Penguin chose to become a criminal because of Thomas Wayne locking up his mother in an asylum and stealing their fortune which drove his (Oswald Cobblepot’s) own father to suicide. And finally, whether you lead John Doe down the path of a Villain or Vigilante, he’s still the main antagonist of Episode 5 regardless. But between Vigilante and Villain Joker, Vigilante Joker can be saved (if you told him you always thought of him as a friend) while Villain Joker cannot.

Also, there should’ve been a choice in Episode 1 of Batman: The Enemy Within when Bruce Wayne and Lucius Fox should either solve the riddle either in Wayne Enterprises or The Batcave.

While I never liked Telltale’s illusion of choice, I think it works amazingly in this scene. No matter what you say, no matter how you spin it, Alfred’s mind is set up. He’s firm in his conviction. And when someone’s mind is truly set, all the right words in the world cannot talk someone out of a course of action.

Technically, not an illusion of choice because Season 3 was never made. Also, there's the fact that Alfred ignores several important factors: while the Children of Arkham were inspired by Batman's crusade, their main motivation was the cabal of Thomas Wayne, Falcone, and Mayor Hill. They would have attacked Gotham regardless and without Batman to stop them, they would have turned Gotham into hell on Earth. The Pact was not created by Batman and by Alfred's own admission, Riddler was a danger to everyone around him before Bruce took his first breath of air. Joker would have convinced Dr. Leland to let him go regardless of Batman or lack thereof, and would have ended up with Harley Quinn anyway.
