If I'm not mistaken the original version of this piece was for piano and harmonium then later Franck transcribed it for organ. Franck never transcribed it for piano solo and the two versions most performed for piano are by Harold Bauer and Ignaz Friedman. Beautiful music and of course bravo maestro for this descriptive video! :)

@@JakePurches-Base2music I just played the piano version in a streamed recital a couple of weeks ago. Different effect and the transcription feels more virtuosic than the organ version.

Wayne, did you couple the great and swell keyboards together to play the swell 8 foot oboe on the great keyboard?
