I was lucky enough to see Wayne sing this live in concert at the Hilton Hotel in Melbourne Australia in 1998 what a great show and those were the days when you had a 3 course meal before the show most civilised cheers Carl .

Sydney Australia in 1968 was a simple innocent time in my life when all the great music could be heard on radio and every second song was an all time classic i consider myself blessed to born in the 50s and to have experienced all this

And this song, a Glen Campbell original, has been covered by so many different artists ... including this by Wayne Newton. And for mine, the best cover of the song. I remember it well from my own childhood in the last 60's, and now ... fifty years later ... I'd like to add it to my iTunes library. But, alas, this Wayne Newton cover, is not available on iTunes! Darn!

This song is one of several that creeped me out as a kid listening to the radio while trying to sleep that I am obsessed with now. This version was creepier than Glenn Campbell's but they both brought the same feelings to me. I ended up buying this album about 15 years ago.

Thx's Wayne Train...Haven't heard this since high school and back then our Radio Station only played Wayne and Glen's but though Glen's was the only one that made the top 40 I was on Wayne's wave on this one. love you Glen (rip) but Wayne's the one on this tune (voice, arrangement etc...)

Amazing. I didn’t know this song was released in 1968. I first heard this song in the summer of 1969. It was played continuously on all the radio stations in L.A. during that summer.

This song deserves to be re released. Like no cd release, no digital media versions, nor Spotify, Amazon music, Apple ITunes, or nothing, not even a re release to Vinyl Record. This song needs a remaster and re release ASAP. Can't believe it's forgotten. I'm guessing something about copyright could possibly be holding this gem of a song up, as Wayne newton has an official Spotify. And every other album and song is on it, but this. I'm guessing the rights are up in limbo. Hopefully soon it re emerges on something like Cd or anything official. 🙏

One of my all time favorite songs. Wayne’s version is 10X better than Glen’s. For years I had trouble finding it, as I think it was from a Disney movie, and they kind of chopped off the end of that one on KZbin. But this recording is exceptional. Thanks KZbin for providing this. I knew there must be SOMETHING I liked about you guys.
