Back in the 80s, my parents, my ex and I used to see many of his shows in Vegas and Atlantic City. That was back when the casinos had the huge, smoky lounges. Priceless. He was a master showman and always put on an excellent show. We really enjoyed him. Great energy - Good person. .

Wayne Newton was from roanoke Virginia! And my husband Ronnie Patsel were in music class together playing steal guitar! Thay were about 10 years old! I have the picture of there class ! And they went to elementary school together and were friends as little boys from Garden city in Roanoke Virginia! My husband Ronnie worked for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad! And played banjo ! Steal guitar and acoustic guitar! I played base guitar we had a bluegrass band! And recorded our own real to real music ! Had a lot of fun with our band !when My husband passed away at 52 from a brain tumor and leukemia I made a trip to Los Vegas and went to Wayne, s show ! He was at the Star Dust hotel and Casino it was when thebig cat shows of zigfreed and Roy !
