I have some advice for people looking to get into online roleplay (since Pocars mentioned it): - Brush up on some grammar skills, maybe read a few books or fanfics to see how people structure their sentences to tell a story - Consent is key! If you want to add something new once things are going along, remove something, retcon or rewrite something, etc. just make sure you discuss it with whoever you're RPing with first - ERP (Erotic Roleplay) is a thing, but it's not the only kind of RP out there - If someone doesn't feel like RPing with you, don't take it personally. They could be really busy or just want to do something else like play a videogame or just chat and most importantly - RP/ERP =/= dating. Seriously, it's important that I say this because I've seen people lacking in social skills/cues treat RP like this. It's a shared activity between two or more people, not a relationship. Now, people IN relationships can RP, but RPs aren't relationships by themselves

Dante Munn agreed! To add on, in rp it is also a big no no to do something harsh to the other person’s character without their permission. Like there are some instances where one may mildly injure the other in an event both went into willingly (like a fight per say)- that’s okay- but nearly killing the other person’s character or just doing anything drastic isn’t cool. In that sort of situation it’s ok to say no. It’s also ok to speak up if you don’t like the way the rp is going- I’ve had to do this a few times. It’s also ok to discuss events beforehand. Remember, it’s all collaborative and is supposed to be fun- so make sure it’s fun and cool for the both (or more) of you. :)

I think this video is extremely important, especially for young furs or newcomers to the fandom. You don't need a suit to be a furry & there are lots of ways you can be a part of and contribute to the furry fandom without a suit. :)

Awesome point Pocari. Yanno at first, I am one of these furies that do not want to go to any convention without a fursuit. Because I want to be seen at Bruzo and not my human form. But nowadays when I am at cons now, I spent some time at con spaces as happy as in suit as I want to hang with my friends and other furries there. Also do you know that I too started making KZbin vlog videos completely in my human form. It seems crappy at first but there is my contribution to the furry fandom that I cringe over but I consider good. And seeing that I'm an argonian, I do roleplay as my fursona through Elder Scrolls online. Another thing even though it can be considered as weird and what not I think you could do is perform at the con space as your fursona and pretend that your human form is your fursuit or disguise and underneath, you could be a fluffball any animal you want to be.

I'm not sure how people do so well in this fandom. I do what I feel like is my best everyday, and it's never really gotten me much of anywhere. I can go entire days without a single message from anyone, and despite my best efforts to engage with people or be interesting in anyway it never works out. I guess I'm just a really unlikable sort of person. ^^" I used to do writing in this fandom, but it felt so empty for me after awhile. People were only really responding when I wrote things that were smutty in nature, and even then it wasn't like there was all that much interaction with it. I think by the time I stopped writing my work had about 100k views in total and I'd made only 1 good friend. We're not even really friends anymore either, I stopped hearing from him after a certain point and don't know what happened with that =/ I'm always happy to see other people doing well though. It seems your channel is very successful and I'm sure you have plenty of good friends, so I'm happy for you ^w^

I used to play a roleplay game called FeralHeart. You could be either a canine or feline and customize your characteristics, colours, markings, weight and height, etc. The downfall was that the servers were full. I still have the app, and I think servers are less full now. If you have a 4 legged character, it can be a great way to chat with others and build up your character's personality.

I would say furvilla has the RP that I love. I did do the *wags tail* *kicks open door* RP, but I much prefer the dungeon and dragons type; the one where you basically write a short story about what you do. Furvilla has it all from horror to magical lands. I suggest for horror fans to look for the abandoned lab RP.

Hearing about Furcadia sure takes me back. Sad thing is that I can't remember my login info for it- heck I can't even remember the email I used to sign up with. There's a really good site called Chickensmoothie which allow roleplays of different literacies (semi-lit, general, literate) and there's also a pet trading and collecting aspect

discord is a great place for roleplay especially if you want to do group roleplays (with more than two people) rp servers are super fun and with things like bots, you can add special aspects to a roleplay!

Speaking of roleplays. Just before Furry Amino, I discovered Roleplay Amino! In my opinion, things can get very interesting in terms of plots, and sometimes, teams and/or classes! I usually applied on role plays that had action as one of the main parts of the story. Also have made an OC just for that, he is a soldier with cybernetic implants to replace some parts he lost from battles. As like all Aminos, you can also make a Wiki Entry for your OCs, then you can organize their personality, traits, skills, and etc. there. It also features awesome stories and role play groups looking for members, and they are usually pretty sweet to be part of! So I suggest Roleplay AMino too. :3

Another furry (kinda) roleplaying game is Feralheart! It's a free MMORPG where you can pick from a canine or feline character model and design from there! There are lots of mods and item/marking packs and stuff for the game that allow you more freedom with designing your character, and player-made maps that you can play on (all free!!!). I've even seen emote packs that change the motions your characters can do! The only iffy thing about Feralheart is the restriction to canine and feline models (though honestly, most of the time you can work around them pretty easily and you wont even notice!) and the registration window opens at random times, so it can be hard to catch it at the right time to make an account. Other than that though, it's a great, fun game with a decent-sized community and friendly moderators, and its very easy to find roleplays there or even just make friends. I highly recommend it.

hotspots for roleplays (information from someone who roleplays every day of the week and has for years now (me :T)) 1:discord servers 2:discord dms, (i recommend finding a roleplayer and ask to rp dm its just easier that way) 3:roleplay games, i dont mean rpgs, no i mean hardcore legitimate roleplay games, granted they are hard to find but there is always roblox as an alternative tips to make rps more fun: use pictures in the roleplay, it gives it a more surreal feeling listen to music accommodating the mood you want the rp to carry, it really helps with the flow and be ready for sleepless nights of regret for making that decision instead of the other one causing your character to end up in a fight instead of a peaceful ending for the night(if this sounds ultra specific... i dunno why,) (also checking out toyhouse now) (and if you dont believe me when i say discord dms are better than servers, on a server one week is the best you have for an rp assuming the trolls arent too bad, in discord dms ive had an over 1 year long consecutive story going on with a friend, 1 entire year worth the roleplay, then if you REALLY wanna knock it up a level, make a book out of it, thats what me and my rp partner are doing we take our past roleplay adventures and toss them in to books online) and no. i never shut up, are you tired of reading yet? yes? no? i cant read you mind, SHEESH (jk i hope you all have a bunnderfull day ^w^)

As far as rp goes, I’ve found using the notes feature on DeviantArt works pretty well. I know DA is a bit of a dead website but I do know there are a lot of furries on there and the notes feature has been working for me for 4 years of private 2 person rp. I’m not sure how it’d work for more than 2 but one could try, for I’m pretty certain there is a group note feature as well. :)
