I use old clothes hangers as a hoop trellis. I shape it into a hoop, wrap it in twine, and jam it in the pot. It's worked for me, and the plants don't seem to mind.

I always say "I'm going to get all matching white pots and white IKEA cabinets, clear trellis " then instead I buy more plants, plastic prop boxes, use straws for trellis, . oh and clear plastic bathroom cups then cut holes in the bottom for pots!!

You can chop the Velcro plant stuff in half to make it skinnier and less obnoxious looking.

I’m the same. I’m all about functionality. Whatever makes it easier to care for my plants. I understand the anxiety. Most of the time I do a test run if I have to go somewhere new. I had to go to a new place this past Saturday and was a nervous wreck. Driving 3 hours. I was so glad to get back home and into my routine. 😬 Have fun on your visit with Betsy. I’m excited for you. Take care Miro. 💚🌱💚

I think you will have a fun and happy visit with Betsy . I usually cover the wire trellises with yarn so the vines and clips dont slide down slippery coated or bare metal . 😅

You can also cut velcro tape in half the long way, 'cause how much bondage does a hoya vine need? Have fun with Ms Begonia.

Hello, thank you for all of Hoya video knowledge. I am wondering, is there anything I can do to 'induce' my Hoya to produce peduncle growth? I have a macrophylla variegated, a wayetti variegated and an obovata, all 4 to 5 years in my care, growing big and beautiful, yet no flowers! I would attach pictures if I could. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

It is tempting to regard Hoyas as an invasive species, but the fault lies with the gardener, I'm afraid. Recently I acquired a spindled wood shelf, likely about a century old, 4-tiered, hoping that these too many Hoyas will enjoy twirling about the spindles. Yes, rather permanent, but dealing with consequences is another way of saying life happens. Already the denizens on the shelf have figured out the plan, though as you've pointed out, they have their own agendas. Mama used to get showered quite often, but she is the size of a bass viol, and this geezer is not 'in for that long haul' anymore - she doesn't mind (it seems), as she proliferates like an invasive species. A new find is a pubicalyx with a pink splash, rather large leaves, and it is a love affair! Spring (2023) is shy this year, but these guys simply do not care; it is a little scary, this verdant ebullience. 💐🥳

No clips for me . I have never use them. They are ugly. To me less visible pots the better, one can showcase the plants more which is the main attraction not them pots. I made all my trellis so it is really minimal cost. Then again, I am very good at making trellis. Hehehe not everybody can do that 😜👍
