Thank you for sharing Sarah! There seems to be a definite connection even though the results are still not completely substantiated - as Dr. Slomovitz mentioned, 2 early stage cancers are better treated than one advanced stage disease!

Dr. Slomovitz answers question: "How can Lymph node mapping help to prevent distant metastasis like NLNM?" Answer: Lymph node mapping, in general, does not prevent lymph node metastasis. It helps to identify lymph node metastasis to prevent a more radical surgery.
