Pure and simple a great tutorial. One should not judge another, unless they're perfect themselves. Making a video isn't as simple as what one thinks. Look beyond her words and learn, betcha you could learn a thing or two.

When I was growing up, all the old clothes from 5 kids, or hand-me-downs, had all buttons, hook & eyes, lace, and zippers removed by my mother before she got rid of worn out clothing. I still have her button can and go to it for replacement buttons of every kind. Sometimes I use some thin ones for my junk journal. I have a lace curtain from mom too & it's more lace than I'll ever need. I tea & coffee dye strips of it, or spray pieces with coored dye.

The shank buttons are great on bulb pins. And hang them off the edges of your pages.

I am making my own buttons using a 1" hole punch and recycled packaging. I will add patterned paper on top and glaze them.

I knew I'd recognize when I saw it, the closure I want and the button and elastic string closure is it. I've gotten into a rut of just tying some sari silk strips or ribbon around as a closure. Thanks for the great idea and instructions!

Lovely ideas! I love the idea for envelope closures! I always struggle with making those with paper and brads too tight, so this will be a great way to get the same look. And tfs my tassel and dangles 😘

Thanks for a great lesson . I go to charity shops and there are loads of buttons. I do book folding and buttons,beads and even pull tabs make beautiful embellishments.💕
