Great info. I wish I had seen this before my trip. I just got back from 2:36 and had a great time. Renting a car was super easy and I didn’t need an international license. The overnight train from Rome is a unique experience, especially with the train being loaded onto the ferry.

Glad to hear you had a great time in Sicily 🙌 we actually didn't learn about the "train ferry" until after we left. It never occurred to us that it was even possible! Also, interesting you didn't need an international license - I think it's mandatory for Americans and we def had to show it when we rented in other parts of Italy 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for the comment!

Very helpful video. Thank you so much. Are the bus station at the train stations? For example taking a ferry from Calabria, then finding a bus to Cefalu?
@waysoftheworld_16 күн бұрын
Well,, there aren't always proper bus stations. But you will find many bus companies have ticket offices and departure areas around the train stations. But you'll have to search in Google Maps for the particular company you're looking for. For your particular example, there's a train from Messina to Cefalu 😉

Huh, is it just Sicily you need an international driving permit? I’ve driven all over the mainland with just my license.
@waysoftheworld_28 күн бұрын
Technically it's all of Italy - we were asked to present our driving permit in Parma. But it's possible that some rental agencies don't ask for one.
