I have more issues with the teammates, per example: The Goalie. Gives away the midfield and never has the save because he gets overrun. Usually gets toxic or leaves because they blame the teammate that does pressure for creating a 2v1 and are in denial of how bad their saves are. The Double Committer. Usually booms every ball , chases every ball into the corner and never plays the last man position. If you dribble he will even clear it away, often leaving your team without boost and an open net. The Delusional Mechanical "God". Goes up for every ball, uses all his boost so he never has any left to recover and spams "take the shot" when ever he misses (which is everytime) to act like it was a pass and not that he missed.

Big thing for playstyle 4 against the mechanics: Because this is very regular in gc and above, a big tip is to play the opponent and not the ball. So if he is going for an airdribble or a dribble, challenge him early, but don't go for the ball, go for the bump/kill on the opponent. This causes the opponent to lose control on the ball and the teammate behind you can pick it up for easy possession
@Midaspl3 жыл бұрын
About the mechanical-side style of players, I find it best to just keep it cool, conserve your boost, play passive, make a save and then just counter-attack. All those aerial tricks and stuff puts them often way out of position. Especially in 1s and 2s. So far, I've met only one player that it didn't work out and he was unranked in 1s in diamond 2, so I assume he was like high GC/SSL recalibrating after not playing 1s for some time.

The interesting mind game is knowing when a player or team will adapt or not adapt to something. Like you said beating an adapting team by changing your playstyle is like level 1, but for an adapter player they'd know that you might not continue you to be aggressive and be aggressive themselves to predict your change. Obviously im simplifying it but i think it would come down to overall experience in playing, where a pro would feel like hes living in your head rent free haha. Though I'm taking this from playing fighting games rather than RL as im pretty new to RL. It's just interesting to see the parallels. But you also have to master a lot of things before you can play in that mindset!

Against people who mix it up a lot, I like to focus on aerial plays and play a little bit of banger ball and trust that I am faster. If most of the possession is open and both teams have to attack the ball, there isn't much room for unpredictability to enter their plays and that enables me to rely less on reading their plays and more on my own plans.

@raccoonbiceps96133 жыл бұрын
An experienced demoer playstyle is the hardest to play against. You don't need a demo, they will usually try to dodge so what you need to do is just brake before the demo to fake it, and then after they jump. You can start dribbling them awaay or get a bump on them afterwards because you faked the demo, thus killing their momentum.
@ROCKforeverFPS3 жыл бұрын
I feel completely identified with the adapter playstyle, fun fact you just said you find em on GC and actually I am a GC, I play like that because of there's no other way to get out of champs, specially on C3... sometimes you get chasers, others people that pass the ball when no needed, full time defenders etc... and all that you can do is ADAPT to they're damn kind of play and fix their mistakes

At the 8:18 mark you say to “play the ball high” which is what I used to think too, but I was recently watching a pro (I forget who, maybe flakes?) and he said to play the ball low because that way if the opponent fakes (like they’re going for a flip reset or something) then you have that covered, so you’re basically forcing them to get the ball over you which usually will force them to go too high to be able to score?
