A working theory is that this takes place after Turn Back Time, but before the entirety of Resonance. In TBT, Ten freed everyone, and we can assume that all the sets used for Kick Back is a sort of resting place or middle-ground before they use the elevator (as seen in Kick Back and in promotional images for Resonance) to time travel to wherever Resonance takes place.
