How are you defocusing your foreground? Is it just the lens or specific setup?

Its a combination of things. If you are using a lens with a fast aperture meaning 1.2 - 1.8, you can achieve this easily by focusing on your subject and then positioning an object closer to your lens. The key is make sure the object is not equal distance from your lens and subject. A zoom lens can also help you achieve this look as well.

It just depends on the vibe and personality from the couple as well as the photographers shooting style. Sometimes I just lean on and collab with the photog to capture the couple during the session and lend ideas when I feel its not coherent with my brand to get shots I need for the edit.

1/15 - Shutter F2.8 with an ND Filter If you don’t have a filter F5.6 or higher works as well! Monopod for stability or a camera with image stabilization No autofocus, dial in your focus on your subject first and stay as still as possible
