Thank you for FINALLY getting that on camera, Wayward my good pal! No one ever believes me when I say that Jensen does NOT like Destiel! They accuse me of being a homophobe(which is flat out ridiculous, as I am NOT afraid of them, and have gay friends, who, btw, don't like the stupid Destiel crap, either!), and insist he thinks it's funny. NO, HE DOESN'T!!!! He wants it to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Misha doesn't like it, either. They've addressed it numerous times in the shows, too, but apparently, it doesn't sink in. Wincest is even worse. What sick demented minds kids have these days. Of course, the little sickos will insist he doesn't mind it, but I people watch all the time,and pay very close attention to body language, and the second they asked the question, I could the see almost involuntary tightening of Jensen's lips, and the little eyeroll, as if to say, OMG! Again?!

You are a good friend, Wayward. I'm telling you, if my GAY friends don't like it, there's something wrong about the whole thing. And the Wincest thing is just filthy and disgusting. Good thing that girl didn't tell Pelligrino what a Slash fan REALLY was. If he seriously doesn't know, he needs to go watch S.4, Ep. 20 "The Monster at the End of this Book," and he'll find out more than he ever wanted to know. I strongly suspect Speight knows damn well what it is, but since Pelligrino went off the show for a number of seasons to do something else, it's a possibility he might not. As always, I am most grateful for all the SN news and tidbits you bring. You always manage to sift out the rubbish from the good stuff, and I appreciate it. Wouldn't be surprised if one of these days Gov. Abbot gives the whole state of TX a Supernatural Day! I've heard whispers he likes the show.

This was never a site for Destiel or Wincest. If you're into that kind of thing you need to find another site. Wayward has always been pretty up front that fanfic is not what he wants discussed on the channel, as it is not germane to the show and subsequent topics of discussion regarding possible plotline twists, guest stars and so forth. It was no one's intention to be discriminatory. There is a place for that kind of thing. However, it doesn't fall within the guidelines here. It is my sincerest hope that you will meet others who enjoy similar interests that you can discuss together. And you can come hang here anytime you want. I'm sure my good friend Wayward Winchester would say the exact same thing.

I just love Misha so much. His view on destiel, how comfortably he talks about it, and how he even jokes about it, is like my favorite thing. I love when actors can acknowledge ships with their character and cool with it.

Ship whatever you want, indulge yourself till your heart content, but don't bring it up to actors or shove it into other people faces. Like, I don't care much about Supernatural potential couples, I like the show for the family stuff, but I ship Hermione/Draco and I used to love it when Emma and Tom were asked questions about it. Yes, it's not canon, but it's amazing to get the actors' opinion on a shipping, since they know the characters they play very well. So hearing it from their perspective is really cool. I dont understand what it would make them uncomfortable.

Also you can't control how people feel. If it makes them uncomfortable then it does. I'm not saying it's wrong to ask. But people already know the actors opinion on the ship, I'm talking about the fans that keep nagging them about it even though they know it makes them uncomfortable just because. I think it really affected their performance on the show. I noticed in last seasons when Dean is hugging Cas, he's always trying to brush him off and being awkward while doing subtext about this ship because he can see it's going to give people ideas.

Oh my when it comes to shipping is such a massive war among some fans. I'm personally a Destiel shipper, yeah I admit it, but I think there are boundaries, mainly toward the actors. Some people takes shipping too far.

brissallie I agree completely. I'm a lesbian and love to believe in lgbtq relationships because tv shows, movies, art can be perceived differently by everyone. However, as I've experienced first hand having heterosexuality pushed on me, I don't believe straight people should have homosexuality pushed on them. Fanfic and fantasy is awesome, but we also can't lose sight of respecting one another as human beings walking our own paths.

You can see the real trust between Misha and Jensen when they are in the Jib clip. Jensen is answering and Misha is doing the personal space thing and coming closer, but you can see that he stops at a certain point until Jensen starts leaning into him to show that he is totally okay with whatever he is going to do. It really shows that they truly do have a trusting relationship and know each other's boundaries and ques. I love that.

I love how Misha and Jared handle the whole Destiel thing. But at the same time, I totally feel Jensen on being uncomfortable, because some fans take it WAY too seriously. Before shipping something, you have to have a good grip on the difference between fiction and reality. And, of course, you have to be respectful towards the show. I myself am a Destiel supporter, but being at the same time a fan of the show since 2005 I would never trade the way the show is for Destiel to be canon. If they decide to make it a thing, I'll be happy, but I am extremely happy with the show how it is now as well, with the friendship that Dean and Cas have. I just feel bad for the actors, being often confused with their character -or worse, being put in a position where they have to answer a question they have no power over. Firstly because they don't write the show and they don't know where the developing is gonna get their character, but most importantly because a lot of shippers would be extremely disappointed with a negative feedback. And those kind of shippers, in my opinion, are not fans of the show. The show is much more than a romance between two characters, especially a show like Supernatural.

From what I've seen, some Destiel shippers try to drag Misha and Jensen into it too, and that's where I draw the line. I think Dean and Cas have great chemistry on screen, I totally get the feeling that Cas is in love with Dean, and I truly believe that Dean is bi. However, that are the characters of a show, portrayed by actors who are different individuals. People just need to remember that Jared isn't Sam, Jensen isn't Dean, and Misha isn't Cas. Ship to your heart's content, but just remember the distinction between actors and characters.

The case of Supernatural and how they manage fandom is very interesting, they are kind of the Petri dish of how shows and actor treat the fans, they have evolve with their access to technology and a way to be in contact with fans and I think Misha is the main reason that they have adopted certain things because he is not afraid to look at what the fandom does and he is not afraid of tell them right on their faces and see their reactions and act accordingly so I think he is very smart in how he does it

I was thinking about this myself when I was watching this video as well as other videos, and I think to the audience it just depends on who is up on stage. Like most of the fans understand that Jensen is uncomfortable with Destiel, therefore, when Jensen says stuff like "Destiel is not real" then the audience will agree with him because they understand Jensen doesn't like it. When it comes to Misha and Jared, they understand that they are not so objectively against the ship and they are a little more accepting of it so people feel more comfortable in celebrating Destiel around them and showing their enthusiasm for Destiel.

Relatively new to Supernatual. Literally binged all 15 seqsons in a month. Destiel was definitely intentional as the seasons progressed. Felt pretty blatant since season 8. They play up to it so much, I'm guessing that everyone started acknowledging that Destiel is, in fact, real, somewhere in the middle of the series. Jensen, if you don't want us to think that Destiel is a thing then stop playing it like you two are in love! It is partly Misha as well but seriously, you two have more romantic chemistry on screen than some actors who are playing parts where the two characters are canonically in love! Okay but I agree. They genuinely play the characters like they’re in love. We all know that if Cas was female they’d be together already. They joke around about destiel being real but when it comes down to the serious question why always say no. If they don’t plan on making destiel real then I’d at least wish they tone down the romantic and sexual tension in every scene with Cas and Dean.

Hello Dean That’s not how a good story is developed........that’s how you milk a product. Supernatural has lost massive loads of quality over the years ever since season 5, and while the concept of Amara was good, just like season 13, the logic and physics as well as overall execution has been poor. That’s a sign of extremely bad writing to simply please viewers. And I won’t lie, I love supernatural still, but I’m unbiased enough to realize it doesn’t much make sense anymore. Now as for tying that in to the homoeroticism that the fandom has......it’s also just to please fans and not pure storytelling or good writing.

Karas Akatsuki they literally made an episode where they blatantly talked about it (it’s in the video you JUST watched). i agree, it’s definitely not canon and is probably never going to happen due to the lack of diversity in the show (most actors are white males, most main female characters get killed, and there’s only been a few nods towards the lgbt community), but seriously? you’re going to call people delusional (and, did i see a bit of sexism? ‘which most female fans are anyway’) because they think dean and cas would be cute together? just let people live their lives dude.
