I just hope there is a scene where Cas and the alternative universe version of Cas meet, and Sam and Dean is with them. Then The alternative universe Cas says that Cas is just like a dog, running after Sam and Dean, coming whenever they say and etc. Then Sam and Dean realize that its true, but Cas knows its true but chooses to ignore it. But now Sam and Dean are going to try and change things, but its making Cas upset then ya. I'd like a scene like that maybe? Thank god im not one of the writers, I would destroy the show 😂

I will literally quit watching if they pitch an AU Cas that doesn't know the Winchesters at us. Giving us a face without the character development deletes the point and I'm only onboard if it's the Emmanuel route - IE, doesn't remember until a very, very soon plot trigger and it all falls back in and we have our Castiel again. Anything else is just a face, not Cas.

Honestly I'm not on the "Castiel deserves better" bus. He's a great character but people haven't taken into account the ways the boys have and do appreciate him just because they're assholes on occasion. They're all assholes to each other all around in their own ways and while I love Castiel as a character (and went so far to make a video to counter-point the "I hate Castiel" statements), I really don't think the boys need any further motivation to "appreciate" him more. Dean's reaction alone was devastating. Never before have we seen him be so broken that he simply gave up and went hollow. They all know what Castiel means to them, Dean particularly, hence Sam not even trying to console Dean or pull him away. Even if they evoked an AU Cas all we'd be doing is resetting him to asshole frequency ala the start of the show without the same critical landmark moments like choosing free will over destiny and falling into the Winchesters for that. That's the problem there. We're being served up a blank template, someone that was originally scripted to only be a few episodes of a visit for story before Misha lit up the role and they opted to keep him. So I desperately hope it isn't them going AU, or if they do that they quickly go the Emanuel route something-something profound bond of his grace to Dean's soul something something resonate something something connection, but then you know. More runaway Destiel subtext on top of everything. I think the best route they could take is humanizing him and Jack raising him as a human. Angel blades kill grace, not human souls, and Castiel has both since the Metatron saga as far as we know, so you know... why not? Reset it to base level without the power players while maintaining TFW. That's what I'm holding out for, but I don't have trust enough in current production teams to have faith in it.

I think it would be cool if cas our cas got brought back to life but he reverted to season 4 cas and he struggles to connect with dean and sam because they see him as a brother but he doesn't really remember them and he is more of a soldier to heaven and they're trying to get the old cas back
