I’ve got a wazinator classic in the mail. Can’t wait!

Got both of these stompboxes and both sound brilliant. First heard the classic at an 8 Ball Aitken gig and was blown away by it and him! Use the dropkick more, simply because most of my gigs are smaller pa setups and I'm usually fitting into a tight space. Very comfortable to play and sounds great. If there are other musos in the room you'll know because they'll be looking at your feet to see where the hell this great beat is coming from. One of my best buys!

I agree that AUD300 seems a lot; but I went to the Acoustic Centre in South Melbourne with the intention of buying another stompbox and came away with a Dropkick because it has an incredible depth of sound and is a good, portable size. It has a very clean bass thump or thud; no clicks or high frequency resonant rings. Just good, clean, deep low thud; warmer and deeper than the others. If you get the chance try a side by side comparison and you'll hear what I mean. For the tests I was using a really nice(!) Bose PA system with and without EQ (couldn't afford that one!). When I came home and plugged straight into a clean (bypass EQ) valve amp output stage, into a 4x10 box it still sounded great. Don't get me wrong: the other stompers sounded really good. However, for me the Dropkick's size, portability and deep sound put it above the competition. (I have no affiliation with Wazinator or Acoustic Centre; I'm just another cash strapped muso!)

Appreciate your honest review, Jimmy. Wazinator will be sharing a store with Cole Clark Guitars, at Melbourne Guitar Show 2017. Come and say hi if you can. Regards Warwick

seems like the drop kick has a bit of a sexist thang built in as the pivot point for a female is probably quite a bit shorter. 2 sizes might have driven the price up but would have made the company seem a bit more inclusive of women and children. Anyway, thanks for the intro and demonstration.

You uncovered the hidden sexist agenda of all stomp box manufacturers. I personally blame Trump.

Hi Patti, yes, agree. In developing the Dropkick we were aiming for a one size fits all. The good news is that the body of the Dropkick is not flat, it has a slight curve so people with small feet (men, women or children) can still enjoy the pivot. thanks. Warwick

Yeah, Big Foot and it's bigoted against midgets, underfed third world people, pygmies and probably against many species of extraterrestrials.
