Rant: It's too bad they never implemented that whole .5 slot thing that was being floated a ways back. Like everyone wanted to see Kano's Snake Bite be 1.5 slots (even more so with Rambo's Snare Trap) but I think the one that makes spirit tracks launch is a great example of one that should be .5 slots - as well as hana's wrath and lunar orbit, and mainly all those buffs should be .5 slots as well, or combine them into 1 slots for all 3, like who has ever used any of those buffs since Ultimate? Plus ancestral light would be a good example of a 1.5 slot ability. I'd also make df2 a 1.5 slot, but then I'd make a change similar to Geras's Simulacrum/Spikes (or formerly flamethrower and command grab for Robocop) where you just can't have both df2 and the bf4 launcher ability in the same variation. Maybe it's not a "true" 50/50 but still, getting 300+ off either option of an overhead/low mixup would be over the top, at least in MK11 lol Of course I have thoughts on what I'd like to see for other characters (let Kotal's cat moves come together as 1.5 slots, and essentially 2 compatible totems for one slot, Shang's ground eruption is weak af now that it does like 100 less damage, so make it 1.5, Kollector's spare change abilities should come together as 2-2.5 slots and up mace & warquoit should be .5... I'd make 80% of the 2 slot special cancel combo starter moves, like Hair Kut, Snare Trap, Snake Bite, Ground Eruption, whatever that Cassie move is called, Purple Pain, etc, 1.5 slots... also stuff like, Spawn's low projectile is good but the move you give up for it, the huge damage restand, is so strong that it would make sense to me to make it half a slot... just so much... I'd buff Sheeva but then probably make dragon stance 1.5 slots lol) As I'm sure we all do...but 1. we're all talking about NW here and 2. frankly I think NW is probably the character that would gain the most from this in terms of customization, to bring this full circle.

Yo Wazzle can I ask, what makes you prefer NW's bf4 combo starter to his df2? Thinking out loud, I guess spirit tracks has range to it so you can use it raw as a bit of a "fuck neutral move" (and I think it lowpros too?) but for tournament sets, I kinda feel like the threat of a YOLO df2 as an overhead is better for making sure you can get those raw command grabs. (also to a lesser extent I think raw df2 is actually really underrated as an antiair) But my NW experience is really limited and my overall skill level is nowhere near yours lol so I was curious as to your opinion/insight

For me personally bf2 has that cheeky low to catch people with and is not as easy to punish. Df2 once you block the first hit you can always punish even if he amplifies. You can also easily break after the first hit of DF2 while with BF2 you get guaranteed damage.

@@Wazminator Good point! The fact that you can break after the first hit of df2 is definitely not a plus, but on the other hand, df2’s big meterless corner combos are pretty clutch too IMO. And base bf4 is pretty good as a combo ender and I do like the KB or at least the threat of it from neutral
