To Till a Field: Man and Machine in the Palouse

This 1987 film uses still photos and film to document the evolution of farming techniques in Washington state's Palouse region. It was written and produced by Washington State University's Keith Williams and narrated by Burt Harrison.
The film is held at WSU's Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC), in accession UA85-54.

Saw early power harvesting and horse/mule powered harvesting at the Vintage Harvest, near Davenport and the Palouse Empire Threshing Bee, just west of Colfax. Great shows. BK
