On Monday, July 8, Baltimore City Police Commissioner Richard Worley discussed Baltimore City’s crime reduction strategies, the impact of partnerships and the challenges of understaffing in an interview with C4 and Nehman.
Police Commissioner Worley joined the show following an announcement of a city-wide drop in homicides over the first six months of 2024.
"I'm always cautiously optimistic," said Worley.
Despite the reduction, Worley noted that nearly 100 people have been killed in the city this year, a fact that cannot be forget despite the positive decline.
The Police Commissioner attributed the decrease in crime to the dedication of the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) and the partnerships with the state's attorney and the mayor's office.
"No one does it alone," Worley said.
