This young crop of jazz pianists are really awesome to watch. Guys like Christian, Emmet Cohen, Sullivan Fortner,..., the chops and their devotion to the heritage of jazz,... I hope to hear you guys live when this covid sh*t is over.

Hi SANDS, YOU DO HAVE SUCH A PECULIAR CREATIVE STYLE OF PLAYING THE PIANO. I'M HERE IN A VERY SMALL HISTORIC CITY IN THE INTERIOR OF BRAZIL. AND THANKS TO KZbin YOU'VE GOT ONE MORE FAN 12.000 KILOMETERS FAR FROM YOU . I WISH GOD MAY PROTECT YOU AND YOUR UNIIQUE TALENT ARLEY CAMILLO, FROM MARIANA - MG BRAZIL

Chistian Sands can make any piano sound good. He could play, yamaha, Fazioli, Steinway, Bösendorfer, even the cheapest piano … when he hits the keys, good music will be the result :). Having said that, what a lovely piano!

True. I was just wondering what he thought about playing on a Yamaha. It sounds amazing with him playing it.

Damn, this cat swings like a mother!

Just by watching his facial expressions you can see that he's in accord with the instrument. C.S. is developing technique and style all his own. Young Cat is fabulous !

What a great talent! Christian Sands rocked it! The older gentlemen though looked like he just got back from being a tourist in Hawaii......should have worn something appropriate if you are going to host the event.

sad, so many technical skills on such poor musicality.
@MrFlareDemon7 жыл бұрын
Umm what ? How is his "musicality" poor at all ?!?
@sshawnuff7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, good question. Yes, musicality can never be poor in itself. It may be in a defensive position when too much technique takes over.
@andreashoppe19697 жыл бұрын
How is that not musicality, just because he's technically skilled? What is good musicality in your opinion? Somebody who plays just four chords and doesn't know when to play them and has poor sense of time, groove and doesn't know how to improvise? :P

Some people just don't get this music. It's amazing, but that's just the way they are wired. There loss!
@alvaroflores47376 жыл бұрын
I suppose your level of “musicality” is higher, maybe you are better known than Christian Sands
