A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for central Ohio as the region is expected to see some freezing rain Wednesday night. The 10 Weather Impact team also issued a Weather Impact Day.
Here's what you need to know:
Precipitation starts at light freezing rain between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Freezing rain will continue until 1 a.m. to 2 a.m.
The area that could be most impacted by the freezing rain is north of I-70
Freezing rain will transition to all rain after 2 a.m.
There could be heavy downpours, along with an isolated storm before sunrise Thursday
Road temperatures are still too warm for any significant ice accumulation; however, bridges and overpasses may ice over! Please be careful if you must travel late tonight or early Thursday morning.
Ice accretion will be limited to a tenth of an inch, and areas most likely to see the ice are Delaware, Union, Knox and Licking counties.
Areas in northern Ohio will see quite a bit more ice, so please be careful if you must travel there tonight.
Conditions will not be icy on Thursday morning, and we will be well above freezing.
Rain ends around sunrise on Thursday, with rain totals exceeding 0.50-0.75" in some spots.
