Do away with fire based EMS, FF do not want to ride the box. Privatize EMS and be done with it it's killing the fire service

100 % agree with you we shouldn't be doing ems. We are destroying our rigs faster going to 90% ems calls.

There is no such thing as a shortage in a market economy. Price sets availability. The problem is, we live in corporate socialism where money is printed instead of taxed. Inflation destroys everything - wages don't keep up. Productivity doesn't either.

alot of dept's need to change there hiring practice from living areas. But also the state needs to honor firefighters who have Wisconsin certification to become certified in MN without going through the written test part to get certified. But also get done with the the psychological exams if someone can't complete the training they will walk away before end of the training.

Im a firefighter / medic... The issue is pay. I wouldnt be able to have this career if i didnt own 2 companies that fund it. I definitely do it to help my community, because it sure tf isnt for the $17 bucks an hour 😂
