@Hw3racing do you realize how expensive those things are, plus where would we put it. As far as the lights in the shutdown, MIR has one of the most well lit shutdowns in the sport, plus it's over 3000 feet long. That opening in the wall is for emergency access and emergency exit from the racetrack so it has to stay open

We need to get rid of those barriers and have different barriers made so the car doesn't ramp off need to make the top barrier and hold the car in the track🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔👍👍👍👍👍👍
@raipanda1332 жыл бұрын
The problem is that those are the safest barriers because they keep the cars on the track. You can watch a thousand videos of guard rails and similar barricades being torn through. Yellow Belly Dragway has an interesting NASCAR style set up, with straight walls and fences, but it’s only for 1/8th then nothing. You would have to tear down and elevate the stands to still have a good angle of the track, and even then, how much of the shut down do you do in that style?
@bluetoes5912 жыл бұрын
Those concrete jersey barriers are designed to contain cars by directing the car up rather than out, and they do a fabulous job of it. None of the cars in this video left the racing surface, so I'm not sure how they failed here.
