There's gotta be some level of realism in these conversations about who to team up with Wemby. Mavs never gonna trade Luka, Cav's probably not gonna trade Mitchell. You gotta be realistic and see who's available. So I think someone like a Trae Young with all the offensive potentials and Wemby can most definitely cover some of the defensive liability from Young, that'd be a good trade.

I still can't believe they're not going to go after Young. They're not happy with him in Atlanta, He's a great passer and a great shooter (with Curry range). I wouldn't build a team around him, but adding him to the guy who might become the best center in the league within a few years? What a no-brainer. You could get 3 role players to start and get to the playoffs.

You can't mortgage your future for a short PG who doesn't play defense. But if you can get him for a fair deal, he'd be perfect. Get a couple good defenders to compliment Wemby and suddenly his weaknesses don't look so bad.

Jason needs to lay off the wacky weed before the show. the Mavs lead in blocks, rebounds, field goals, FG%, with an enormous advantage of points in the paint. This isn't something that will "Even out" if Kyrie misses a couple shots. Dallas isn't Denver. Deeper bench, better superstars, better role players, better defense, and WAY more athletic. You get past Gordon and Murray (who was hurt) and KCP, Porter and Joker are robotic. When things are flowing they are unstoppable. When everyone isn't performing, they have NO ONE who can make up the difference. I have never seen a star with less instincts for the game than Porter. The guy is a walking turnover machine if he tries to help or take the ball to the basket. The only thing he can do is stand outside of three and shoot great if he can get his little bouncy step into the shot. If it's not there, he's literally just taking up space because he's not going to do ANYTHING else. Luka / Shai / Halliburton / Edwards / Brunson / Mitchell /Fox / Maxey / Young / Kyrie /
