one of the great priveledges of my life was having the opportunity to run sound for at least 300 Ian Moore Band concerts in the '90's. Great guitarist, but I always thought his vocal control and phrasing were what truly set him apart. "Satisfied" still brings me to tears when I hear it and is a song that always brought the house down. I still vividly remember specific concerts, once at the Shiner Bock Festival when the Fabulous T-birds shouldn't have bothered coming on after Ian. THANKS!

Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: John 4:6-13 KJV bible.com/bible/1/jhn.4.6-13.KJV

I remember that Shiner Bock festival WAY too well. left San Antonio in the midst of sever flooding to make it to Shiner for the fest, and Ian Moore making the trouble well worth it. Always loved Satisfied, Harlem, and Muddy Jesus.

I am from Malaysia. I know about Ian Moore in 1993 when I was 15 years old. I'm into the music store and find a cassette. I first saw the album cover I thought he was solo guitarists like Steve Vai. Upon hearing the song I was surprised to find that song very interesting

Satisfaction is found within. True Love is rare in this fucked up world,It comes to you when you least expect it. So when it does appear hold it,but never sell yourself short.I would love to to see him perform;he gives me goose bumps.He is a true artist;also rare in this day and age.

I played and sang this song for my ex wife many times as well. Turns out there's more to marriage than romantic gestures. I still hope to win her back, she's my best friend but not together right now. This song will always be an all time favorite. It's one of the first songs I learned on a guitar I've owned for 30 years now. Saw Ian Moore once live, he's an underrated American music treasure as far as I'm concerned.

I saw him in Houston and he was better than ever; then a few months later he came to Austin and Houston again. He lives in Seattle, has a family and a band, the Lossy Coils. He topped Santana, ZZ Top, etc. etc.... in my opinion. Melted my face off. I was 3 people from the front row.
@rbagel558 жыл бұрын
Kerry Lester What happened was around the time "Muddy Jesus" came out, he sort of disappeared. I used to live in Austin and someone told me that he didn't handle being the center of attention well,well because he is a mellow person I mean they had him doing TV commercials, shooting lightning bolts from his guitar, plus non-stop touring. I mean even though he was getting paid rather well, the music biz isn't for everybody. You lose your personal life with it a lot i hear. and sometimes musicians party hardcore to deal with it, Because the party material is always around, it is hard to get away from. And It is my guess that is why he moved from Austin to Seattle, he wanted to play, but not be a "star" That is what happened to Frank Marino (mahogany rush) He said fuck the music biz, and now he lives in Montreal, has a studio, and does audio restoration I am glad 1thomasjohn said he said he was doing good.I still remember that outdoor concert he did by the bayfront in Corpus Christi, when he did "Blue Sky" everybody just went nuts, especially the women !

@SouthernKudzu I knew a guitarist (passed away years back) who was a friend of Ian's and said, after I told him Ian's first record blew me away, that Ian didn't want to get branded as blues or rock guitarist or cater to record companies. Modern Day Folklore was 180 degrees apart (sucked IMO) from this LP and I haven't heard him on radio or TV since. Still, he is a gifted player with a gifted voice.
