Looking back on this in 2023 reminds me of the many scenes that Nathan and Elizabeth had where there was so much chemistry. I have seen comments by Lucas fans saying that Nathan is boring and he has no chemistry with Elizabeth. I have to laugh even thinking about that. Someone is NOT paying attention if they cannot see the chemistry here! Nathan leaves us all breathless!

I was quite upset when Elizabeth chose Lucas. Now I so appreciate the 'overcoming fear' theme. I'm so ready for this!!! Her new journey with Nathan. Resumed watching when I saw the caption of Nathan and Elizabeth for the season 11 preview. I had to go back and stomach through season 9 and 10 just so I could enjoy what season 11 had to offer. I know this is two years old and I just came across it today. I think I may have watched it previously but it sure hits differently now that I am finished a season 10. I stopped watching after season eight when she chose Lucas and was so upset. Now I have renewed hope and excitement about the next season, and believe that our prediction that they will end up together after the horrible season nine will finally come true ! There were hints throughout season 8 and 9 that Elizabeth's love for Lucas was safe. She literally gave him a tea cup with a picture of sail boat that she recalled was similar to a family sail boat called Safe Harbor. The whole entire romance between her and Lucas felt like they both had left reality behind and where floating in that hot air balloon their entire relationship. The balloon burst and here we are Season 10 they both want something real.

Plus when he had tried to move on and had a couple of casual dates and it didn't work out with Mei or Faith, I knew it was because she was still in love with Elizabeth.

When Elizabeth adjusts Nathan's surge it looks like a husband and wife scene where the wife makes sure her husband is perfectly dressed to go and start his day. Plus I love the way Nathan looks at Elizabeth. He is absolutely in love with her. He looks at her as if she is his wife.

I honestly don't see how Elizabeth could end up with Lucas in the end. Lucas is a wonderful and kind guy, but that doesn't necessarily mean he is the right guy for her. Nathan and Elizabeth's interactions seems so natural and effortless, while there is a sense of formality with her and Lucas. It is so great to see Elizabeth finally opening up Nathan, but she can only suppress her feelings for so long. Despite from her being afraid to love him, despite what happened to Jack, despite her being with Lucas and despite everything else that happened, (which is a lot!) Elizabeth and Nathan keep finding their way back to each other. And Lucas knows it, he is highly perceptive of Elizabeth and her feelings, and he cares about her enough to let her be with Nathan. The way to Elizabeth's heart isn't through candles and picnics, its through meaningful conversations and a deep connection, which is something that Lucas has a hard time achieving simply because he won't even walk through her door. In order for Lucas and Elizabeth to stay together, Elizabeth would have to get over for her feelings for Nathan entirely, which I don't think could happen on short notice, as well as develop a deeper closeness with Lucas. She would have to deal with her feelings for Nathan properly, and get Nathan to do the same, or the love triangle could open back up in season 9. It also would be difficult for Nathan to get over Elizabeth so quickly given his persistence. From a writers standpoint, that seems like a lot to address in short amount of time, and then somehow wrap up every other loose thread. The groundwork, foreshadowing, and connection is already there for Nathan and Elizabeth, all Elizabeth has to do is admit it. Remember, there is no way that she would ever be with Nathan without telling Lucas first, and Lucas just happened to beat her to it. We're almost there Team Nathan, believe in the despite!

Im not so sure. The autors said we would be shocked about ending. The same was said about the end of the series, the actor playing Bill...I think everyone expect that Elizabeth will choose Nathan or Lucas so is it a schock who will choose??? I thought that mayby she choose Lukas, kiss him and then she would understand that was a mistake OR mayby she will kiss him goodbaye (or Lukas kiss her) and Nathan will see it and he will misunderstand the situation? This scene makes my wonder...Elizabeth runs throught the city, probably for some person , suddenly stops in despair...What that mean????Mayby she runnig aftet Nathan, but she doesnt succeed. Mayby this is how seasons 9 end. What you think?

So look forward to your analysis of these scenes - so many scenes, so little time. This was a great scene with humor, light flirtation, sharing deep feelings and romance! Loved Nathan’s expression when she asked him to take off his serge. He couldn’t have been more shocked if she’d asked him to join her in a hot tub. What I noticed in this scene was her reminiscing about Jack is open and free now; they’re past Nathan’s secret and Elizabeth’s forgiveness (another step towards healing). Now Elizabeth can talk about Jack and continue to process those feelings in a safe space within her relationship with Nathan. There’s not a doubt in my mind that in the space of time between Elizabeth smoothing the jacket on Nathan’s shoulders and shutting the door she realized with some shock that all of her efforts to push down the love she feels for Nathan have failed: her eyes, her words (take off your serge) and her actions (buttoning his jacket) betray her. Now what will she do with that?

I noticed the scene parallel between her pressing her back against the door and breathing after she steps out of Lucas’s office and fanning herself and then pressing her back against the door here at her home after this scene with Nathan. I have wondered if there is any processing between the forced nature of getting intimate with Lucas (sitting close, holding hands, and Lucas kissing her hand) to this scene that just naturally unfolded-offering tea to talking the boy out of his serge and then how naturally she ran her hands across his back and neck buttoning back up his serge before she caught herself in the moment again. Seems like a night and day difference between trying to make closeness happen and closeness unfolding.

It really is a night and day difference. The fanning was also way more humorous than the pressing against the door. And it’s steam vs. overwhelm. Because it’s really hard for her to keep herself from being close with Nathan, she feels overwhelm after he leaves.

This part of the scene made me look to the future and I also think that is what the producers wanted to impress on us. I saw a future of Nathan getting ready for duty and Elizabeth has his serge and helps him into to it, having a lovely conversation of what they will be doing today and such like😊 Right there in her home they spelled out the final result.

I also believe that Ned and Florence have observed Nathan and Elizabeth the different times in the mercantile and recognize their connection just like Ned and Florence had with one another. It is not an accident that Florence gave the bouquet to Nathan to give to Elizabeth, it was pre-planned especially after they saw them go outside and Elizabeth did not come back. Elizabeth is the one that was there for both Ned and Florence before the wedding.The words she spoke to both of them were words also they knew, Elizabeth needed to hear but they came from herself. I think, the mercantile will be where Ned and Florence will match make Elizabeth and Nathan together once again. ( this time finally a date)

@@alicepahler7610 Maybe this is nothing, but to me it is significant that in the infirmary scene, Nathan wrapped the blanket around Elizabeth. When standing with Lucas on her front porch, she wrapped her shawl around herself. If I lived on the frontier in the early 1900's, and I had a toddler, I would certainly want a husband who was protective and strong. That Nathan overrode her "I'm fine", and wrapped her in the blanket anyway sounds like something a married couple would do. I think Nathan was able to "read" Elizabeth there. That bodes well for a GREAT marriage. Furthermore, I see so many stories to tell among these 4 characters (Elizabeth, Nathan, Allie and Little Jack) as they blend into a family.

Exactly, so when Lucas said that at the reception that was him in panic mode, clutching at straws. Nathan has been quiet and steadfast without forcing the issue. He has allowed love to be his spokesman. They are so comfortable together but yet so vulnerable, it reminds me of when a little boy starts to feel that first impression of puppy love for a girl. I smiled throughout that entire scene.

On another thought, I love how his voice softens and becomes so gentle when Elizabeth approaches him about something. Like at the wedding when he was speaking in his normal voice, but when Elizabeth asked him to step outside, he spoke with a soft “Yeah”. In the preview for next week, he greets her with a soft “Hi” when she enters his office.

I think when he crosses his arms as she warmed his serge he was “being a bit guarded”, rather than being cold, just because she’s not wearing a sweater. Your explanations throughout the series have taught me a lot about body language. I like to study your “lessons”!

I think when she is helping him it does feel natural for her but also that she is remembering how she felt the different times like in the forest, around the Christmas tree, at the library, at the bridge, mentally saying it is happening again. She let's her guard down and is doing a comparison in her mind and heart between her Nathan and Lucas. Saving it to savor later.

So one thing I forgot to comment on was his arms crossing after Elizabeth takes his surge. Guarded is a good way to look at it. Uncomfortable without his surge is good too. I was kinda thinking that even though he is comfortable in this scene with her, I think he might be a little nervous at the same time. I think he also trying to find the right moment to tell her that it meant a lot to him that she doesn’t blame him for Jack’s death. He did say to her later that he meant to tell her that. Another way to look at it is it could be that he is so in love with her and wants to express it to her and be completely open with her, but he respects that she’s not quite ready for that yet, at least in the moment, and so crossing his arms could be a reminder to himself to keep himself in check when it comes to expressing his feelings over abundantly. I had to think about that for a bit before I commented.

This scene way awesome!!! I loved it so much!!! Like so many of you, I watched this scene way too many times even before I continued the episode. Gosh, what to say about this scene.. Where to begin?? You mentioned that Elizabeth is just so comfortable with Nathan, and it only gets deeper in this scene. I totally agree! The fact that they are playful with each other and the smiles are big, and then she notices that he's cold! She's so sweet to have coffee or tea at the ready for him if he needs it! Then she warms his surge! That was freaking thoughtful! When she goes off topic and talks about Jack, his face was so sweet. I like to think that he didn't say anything because he's giving her the message that it's okay to talk about Jack around him. He doesn't want to replace him. He knows that she'll always love him. The last thing he wants is the memory of Jack to be wiped from her mind entirely. Then she helps him put his surge back on.... #MARRIED!!!!! It's not just so normal for her to help with his surge because she did it all the time for Jack, I think that it's just that much more natural because of how comfortable she feels around him. That face that he gives her!!! Omg!!! So glad you slowed it down!!! I have got the biggest feeling that that will not be the last time she helps him with his surge!!! Am I right, people??!!! This whole scene was just so amazing! I loved how there were no interruptions, it was longer than normal, and it was comfortable! But I agree! Elizabeth is quite not there yet. She's still getting to know him. That's important to her. Only time will tell! Oh! I really loved the voice over!! I think it really helped me enjoy it more because I got to hear how exactly you reacted and how much you loved it! This scene shows why so many love Nathan and Elizabeth. This scene shows why it will be easier, or I should say, more believable, that Lucas can move on with life in HV rather than Nathan. I get the impression that Nathan is a one love kind of guy and Elizabeth is it. Elizabeth touches him so naturally, as well as look into his eyes, go deep in conversation, smile, and argue and make up. These are lifetime qualities. This is why I want to comment on the preview for next week since there is concern that Elizabeth will choose Nathan. I really do not pay attention to the fact that they show Nathan when Rosemary talks of lifetime and show Lucas when they speak of a season. They love to throw us off with those. I am not a body language expert and I have none of “The little Scenes” mad skill, but here goes some thoughts: When Elizabeth is talking to Lucas, yes, she appears to be in public. But she is also speaking in a less than intimate tone. She has her thoughts gathered and she is letting Lucas understand her thoughts or the conclusion she has come to. She seems sure of herself and on solid ground. She and Lucas have always seemed more formal and able to communicate mostly without a lot of emotion underlying their conversation (just my take). On the other hand, on the preview, when you see her enter the Mountie office to see Nathan, he and she will be alone. The first time she ran from him that day at the pond, she looked pensive as he approached. When she was angry, she entered his office like she had business, shut the door, and lit into him. He remained seated until she asked her question, kind of watching for what was wrong before he got up. In the preview, Elizabeth opens the door and is standing there with the door open as she SOFTLY says hi, almost a questioning inflection in her voice like she is uncertain of her footing. She is waiting to be received, rather breathless, unlike she has been with him before when she has entered his office. Nathan, upon seeing her, doesn’t wait to try to figure out what the mood is. He immediately stands up, sensing something of importance, and SOFTLY, says hi. We already know that in this scene, he will probably approach her because that is how he interacts with Elizabeth. Elizabeth has already run from him once after NOT telling him she did not care for him, but instead telling him that it would hurt too much if she lost him the way she lost Jack and telling him she had to leave because if she did not, it would be just that much harder to do so (even Rosemary said there was no telling what would have happened if she had not left). I doubt now that she is coming to tell him she loves Lucas. He and Elizabeth are alone. I believe this is where the kiss will happen. While they are alone and not in public. Notice also that Rosemary asks her if she has spoken to Lucas (like there is something important she should tell him. I get the impression that it is not something Elizabeth is looking forward to). Then she tacks on, “Or Nathan?” Like afterwards there is something she then can speak to Nathan about. Anyway, those are my thoughts to encourage Team Nathan. Of course, I am sure Team Lucas can have a field day with their own interpretation. But I think I may be right. Let’s just hope the writers get it right. Lol!

I can't even see her with lucas. Like if they are writing an epic love story they missed the chemistry with Lucas. To me the show takes off again with her and Nathan. To me the storylines would be effortless since she could now mother Allie. They could also do more marriage storylines that weren't there as much with Jack. I think the show has been waiting for Elizabeth to have her man. Jack left (died but the actor decided that storyline) so they couldn't go that route. I think it makes sense to just pick up in some ways where Jack left off. Now that a love story is hopefully resolved they can move on with some more action and suspense like with law enforcement etc. And of course interacting as a family. I feel like it's a "duh" for me on Nathan and Allie and Elizabeth and little jack. They just seem to fit. I would just hate to see her with Lucas it wouldn't fit for me or feel as entertaining. Kind of like a direction I just don't think the show could take. He feels like the wrong fit. I like Nathan intensity.. He says he loves her and doesn't mince words.

@@courtneycook21 yess totally agree. I just don’t understand TL fans who say the storylines with Lucas would be exciting. I’m obviously biased but I don’t see how they would be? He’s just a saloon owner? This show is about Hope Valley so it’s not like they’d be going on a world trip together for storylines. I just don’t get it and for the life of me can’t get behind an Elizabeth and Lucas ending. I guess they could be okay (if Nathan did not exist) but man like you said they’d be totally missing the epic story. From the story alone it is so so so so clear to me that it just has to be Nathan. The only thing making me anxious is the interviews and previews and TL comments. Sunday night can’t come fast enough!!

NP I don’t know if it was somewhere on this thread, but I could see a storyline where the writers dug a bit more into who Lucas is behind the mask because I don’t believe we have even scratched the surface. Lucas needs someone who can touch him to that degree and bring out the emotions. I just don’t think Elizabeth did that. She enabled him to be the formal gentleman which is his comfort zone. But that’s where I think the show has a chance to develop a great storyline and love story for Lucas.

Love all your analyses! You do such a great job, and I can hardly wait for each one! I've been waiting for this one All. Day. Yay! So here are some of my thoughts. Love pretty much everything about this scene, especially Nathan's "Heh?!?" to the serge comment and Elizabeth's automatically starting to button it up. I also feel there's a double meaning to his comment, "Yeah, this feels better." The obvious: his now-warm serge. The subtext: possibly the shift (also warmer) in their relationship, and I think she picks up on that. Of course, his next comment has to be, "... thank you for warming me up." Love it! 🤩😁 Some other thoughts re. why I believe/hope Elizabeth will choose Nathan (started to post these before, but decided to wait for this video). 1. Elizabeth didn't approach Lucas and agree to an actual date until after Allie let it slip about Fort Clay, basically a rebound sort of thing, emotionally. 2. Elizabeth is very attuned to Nathan's presence and emotions. She almost always notices when he's around and never let's him demur away from telling her what's on his mind, a stark contrast with Lucas, even though they have been dating. Nathan and Elizabeth have had far more emotional intimacy. 3. Throughout the seasons, Elizabeth has sought out Nathan more times than she has Lucas. It's been very steady each season at a 3:2 ratio, even this season. Yep, I counted. There are other things (many of them mentioned by other awesome #Hearties), but these also stick out to me. I think the "Love is always worth fighting for" line is telling, especially when potentially combined with the plaque quote, "Always do what you're afraid to do." I also found Rachel's conversation with Christopher in episode 8 really apropos and a parallel of the dynamics between Elizabeth and Nathan (other than Elizabeth has never told Nathan to leave her alone). One last thought: I don't know that it means anything for the plot, but I have noticed that in the opening credits for seasons 7 and 8, Elizabeth and Nathan are placed at the beginning and the end of the sequence. Alpha and omega? Lucas is between them. It might not indicate anything plot-wise, but then again, it might. In previous seasons, Jack was right after Elizabeth and Abigail was the end. I know you mentioned this but I just LOVE the parallels with that Nathan and Elizabeth infirmary scene all throughout this one! And one parallel I also picked up on was when he smiles and says, “Yeah this feels better,” just like Elizabeth smiled outside the infirmary and said “Thank you that is better,” when he put the blanket around her. I think the moment Elizabeth said that marked the first time she kind of joked around with him again since she turned him down! And the fact that they do these things for each other while mirroring each others’ words shows to me such a longing for real love and them both paying attention to each other deeply. So special. I also loved the fact that he told her adopting Allie was the single best thing he had ever done in his life. I love the fact that they can talk to each other like that about anything. Yet, things can be so polite with Lucas after all this time. I remember Elizabeth telling Jesse not to worry about his pride with Clara--that a woman wants a man to be vulnerable with her, and I think that is what is missing with Lucas.

Hello new best friend I’ve been waiting for this and I knew you would get it out quickly, and what a special treat this time to hear your serene voice descriptions for the first time. Interesting on the “I guess she thought you were the next to be married” and Elizabeth looked uncomfortable. I did notice Nathan’s expression change. I did not think he was thinking of Lucas, although that makes sense too. I just thought he was so in tuned with her and was recognizing she was getting scared again. He had overstepped a tiny bit with that comment and in the past she would have run or totally put up her guard. So he cancelled the hot drink date, time to go and let her recover. Amazingly she did recover so quickly. And you are right, FOUR recoveries from awkward moments in this short scene.... thanks so much! I’m sure I’ll watch this several times!

Bravo!!! Loved this one.😍 I can tell you I have watched this scene so many times my husband eye rolled me this morning 🤣😂. Anywho..🤗 I wonder if the moment against the door was both a release of the build up from this lengthy exchange with all those "snap out of it" moments. It really showcased what Nathan was telling her in EP 2. She has feelings for him!! and during these moments she was allowing herself to fall into how it could be between them since she let down her guard. I think the snap moments were, like you mentioned, "supposed to" be this way with Lucas. But it hasn't been. In fact so many moments with Lucas felt like she was trying to hard to do something different than her nature. So as she is leaning against the door I do think she is processing that she STILL hasn't talked to Lucas about the exchange with Nathan( and I'd say it's been at least a week since the wedding, IMO that's a huge chunk of time to NOT have had a conversation with a boyfriend) and NOW she can add this little moment on top of what she really should tell Lucas about, since she is dating him. Gotta be a bit overwhelming for her heart. AND you are also right. She STILL needs to resolve issues with Rosemary.

I used to be Team Lucas because I liked his personality, before he started dating Elizabeth. He was playful, optimist, focused on being part of a community. Although he continues to be generous and compassionate, I have seen how this relationship is eroding him. He looks tense, too formal, I don´t know if it is the script trying to solve the triangle and focusing on it, but we barely see him interested in bussiness or the town or anything but Elizabeth. I think he is more in love with the dream of Elizabeth and him being the perfect partner for her (and even with the idea of winning someone´s love over) than in love with her. He does care for her but I think Lucas likes caring for others. Remember that friend he wanted to help that lead to the scene when these bad guys? That friend was also a widow. He also tried to help Allie to make friends, and he was so generous to Gowen... He´ll be fine without Elizabeth and I can see him finding a love.

I could never adequately find the words, but you did-“more in love with the dream of Elizabeth”. I think he cares about her but I also think it is an easier sell that he is the one that can move on. Other than flattering observations about her looks, has he ever, as far as you can recall, made any statements about “feelings” for her? Maybe he has and I just missed it which is quite possible since I am saving the full episodes from #8 onwards to watch after the finale!

Lucas still maintains a certain politeness with Elizabeth...when she went to his office and offered him a seat next to her to talk, he more or less rejected it. She has spent so much time with him, yet--she and Nathan have had all the deep conversations that are missing with Lucas. I remember when she told Jesse not to be afraid to be vulnerable with Clara--and she insisted on that with Jack (when he returned from the NW territories)--that is missing with Lucas. Yet, she has it with Nathan.

Love that he has declared to her more than once. This is the one thing I do agree with Lucas on when he asked her what she said to Nathan the second time he told her. She is in her house asking him to undress ( I wish, but you know what I mean), when that is the perfect place to discuss it. Nathan, however did the right thing not bringing it because it's up to her now.

Loving Lucas was a choice that Elizabeth made because she was attracted to him. She felt she could make it work. Loving Nathan is act of will, no choice necessary. Her heart naturally gravitates towards him.

I agree. You did a great job. I don't really think this scene needs too much analysis though because two great actors are portraying their parts beautifully. Somehow I have felt from the first time Nathan came to Hope Valley, this was going to be the finale, but let's hope the end of the new beginning with Season 9.

The last scene, when she closes the door behind her back. I think Elizabeth feels pain (emotional heart pain), because her chest goes a little inward. Maybe this moment made her miss Jack, or she is realizing she can´t help caring for Nathan more than she wants to and this scares her.

Yes, I think through the whole triangle, she has been drawn to Nathan, but simply “refused” to fall in love with a Mountie again. Remember, she almost gave up on Jack because she was afraid she would lose him, but he reassured her he was good at his job. Losing Jack so suddenly after she finally released her fear of him dying probably really scarred her. She has really tried to force her feeling for Lucas (in my opinion) because she just can’t allow herself to be vulnerable to that loss again. I think when she closes that door and leans against it, she may be beginning to come to terms with the direction her heart is “calling” her.

I somehow think that pain is still for the loss of Jack and knowing to have a relationship of any kind with someone else will take great healing....and maybe in that moment she moved a little more thru her healing process. She will always have a place of love in her heart for Jack tho but will have enough of everything else she needs to Love Another.

So, I'm totally here for all the #teamNathan love (see my other comments!), but I am curious about one of WCTH's other couples (Faith/Carson) that I'd like y'all's thoughts on. Without getting into my opinions on how things have developed between them this season, didn't Carson say back in season 7 that part of the requirements was that she work under the direct supervision of a doctor for 2 years? If he leaves, and she stays, doesn't that scuttle her dream a bit? No way can they say she's been back in HV 2 years! Just one of my side curiosities.

Hey there- I love these so much. They are fascinating and you are obviously an expert. Really appreciate the time and effort you put into creating them-- especially this season. One thought- you might have already had- would be to compare the front porch scenes with Elizabeth/Nathan and Rosemary versus the one with Elizabeth/Lucas and Rosemary. I know they are different because there's more talking in the one. Just loved how you had the Christmas tree versus the school scene. But no pressure :) Thanks again!

Elizabeth just needs to apologize to Rosemary, even though she probably feels she has nothing to apologize for. If they break up it's going to be the worst thing since Daniel deciding to leave WCTH (even though I support him for wanting to move on).

Both of them have to apologize. Elisabeth was rough, but Rosemary didn't have to interfer. She didn't have to talk to Nathan at the library. Even if Elisabeth is confused about her feelings, she is the only one to choose with who she wants to be. I think their frienship is going to be stronger between them, to important for them and life in HV.

I find it so weird how Rosemary and Elizabeth are still kinda not okay but Elizabeth and Nathan clearly are. And their entire dispute was over Nathan. Elizabeth got mad at Rosemary earlier that day too simply for saying it wasn't Nathan's fault and Elizabeth knows it isn't. Elizabeth had asked Rosemary her thoughts too but got mad at them. Poor, Rosemary. I think the difference is Elizabeth knows Nathan loves her. I think she knows this with all her heart. It was easy to let him in again. He also kind of did wrong by not telling her so she has less to say sorry for. But she also knows that she can get mad at Nathan and they'll work through it. She's gotten mad at him before and they work through it. It's another reason I think they're endgame. She hasn't had this many emotions with Lucas that they've worked through. Elizabeth is comfortable showing all emotions with Nathan. But I think Elizabeth knows she was wrong with Rosemary and doesn't know how to confront it.

@@Aurora-ob9ix Rosemary didn't have to compare her situation with Jack and Elisabeth. For me not the same story. She doesn't know what has been said between E/N. Trying to comfort her friend, she done the opposite because it was not the right time for Elisabeth to hear the advice/opinion... Elisabeth needed space and time to "digest" and think about the conversation she had with Nathan. And as usual, R put her noise where should have not🙄😂 I like Rosemary character, but sometimes she has to shut up😉🤐 It's just my own opinion😉😁

I think they will get married possibly this season. She could wear the dress she wore for the Little Jacks Christening and her hair the same way. It was when she fell in love with Nathan, as he held little Jack.

The Elisabeth ring scene isn't just leaving Jack's painful memory, maybe she's leaving the maiden who arrived in Coal Valley and her dreams. She has found and lost love, she has fulfilled her dream of writing a book, she is an appreciated teacher, Elisabeth has finished a life journey and is about to start a new one. Could she also no longer be a teacher? Then really all the games are open. I hope true love has remained a goal in the new life as well. He would just be the man she feels more comfortable with than she is. At this point it could really be Nathan.

I have a question that worries me: why does Lucas never enter Elisabeth's house? What are he refusing? To be truly involved in love for Elisabeth? Jack's ghost? "And when he says "I'll let you free"? Does he want to make Elisabeth guilty by hoping that she will definitely chooses him? But I think, until the end of time, that Lucas can be sure of Elisabeth's love only by making Nathan disappear. Lucas may learn that it is not possible to force and control everything in life and finally improve his character just by having a life lesson. Lucas is a man who likes to "possess" love, while Nathan likes to "give" love. I hope the writers who scare us don't enjoy giving us another hope to take after a slap. I think I get be angry with Hallmark all my life.

Oretta, I've been wondering about that too. Has Lucas ever been inside Elizabeth's house? Hopefully another #Heartie will tell us. What you've said is spot on. I will say I am glad that Lucas was the one to call it. But he's not good about finishing conversations. Says his piece and then bounces. That's a monologue. It would have been nice to see L&E engage in a deep conversation at least once. But not in the last episode. That would be a waste of precious screen time. Less talking, more kissing 😘🤭
