I did this once too. when I asked the first person to help me they said yes until I asked them why it said thunder clan in the top of my screen (I was pretending I hadn’t read the books). They said “OMG! This game is for serious fans only! No non readers allowed!” and then left and ignored me. The second server I went to I found this really nice person who went through all the controls really slowly and easy to understand, they also answered all my questions. So when we were done I told them I actually play the game a lot and was just seeing if anyone would help me. I then gave them a free morph and we had a nice Rp together

STORY TIME i actually taught a new player once (two actually, same server) and now they are a good roleplayer! i friended them and trained them for around 1 month, and gifted them one of my oc's! i wish to find a new player again :)

When I first started wcue I knew about warrior cats, and I bought it when it wasn’t free. I also had never read the books. So I made a decent morph, it was a white fluffy cat with blue eyes, and I named it none other than *feathertail* . I had no clue there was an actual feathertail in the books that looked like my morph as well ;-;

I’ve had someone do this to one of my rps but the way they did it made it so they genuinely were disrupting the rp. They didn’t ask how to play and they only revealed it was a troll whenever me and several others were telling people to void them because they were just being horrible.

I have a question, im planing on getting into WCUE. But do I HAVE to read the books? Or is it more of I need to know the rules of how this universe works? I watched a few short summaries of the books, so I kinda have an idea on how the universe works. Is that good enough? There are a few things I need to kinda remember but other than that I kinda have an idea on it.

There are no rules on if you can play the game or not - watching Wcue videos or short videos or just generally knowing the vague details is enough - but even if you didn’t, you can still play!

It’s better to read the books because you can get a better understanding, but you can just watch some lore videos and read the warriors wiki and you should be fine :)

Here late, but I’ve read a good amount of the books. To understand maybe references and stuff, yes the books could be useful but you can also get your info from things like MAPs, summaries, etc. In WCUE I think you’ll be fine without reading the books, all it is really is the basic stuff like Medicine cats, 4 clans, Leaders get 9 lives, a Gathering every month, patrols, etc. Remember that not all rp in this game has to be canon either… since it’s really jsut a game. Non-cats join clans sometimes, there’s often stuff like traitors and forbidden relationships just for the drama and all that.

Fun fact! I helped an actual new player learn how to play wcue, I went through all the controls, how to make a morph, the name examples(ex: her name was Petal, and I gave her an example of the suffix Freckles) I told her about the clans, how to use the teleportation things, I told her that there's books, I explained that using "quotation marks" makes the roleplaying look more experienced and realistic, I also just mainly explained what the game is about, and I told her how to use first person, second person, and third person. Overall, I really helped her out then we had a fun roleplay together until she had to go!

I believe when I first started the game, I knew how to roleplay (from a different game I already played), and I probably made some people believe I was trolling them because I used the quotes and a symbol for my speaking, I was an experienced new player 😭😭✋

"Queen" pumpkin is on my burn list now. /J/ First, they ignore new players. Second, they prefer roleplaying over giving new players basic knowledge. Third, they told a new player to LEAVE! I understand if the new player is power playing or being too OP, but that doesn't mean you should kick them out if they just did a tiny mistake! Its just a god darn roleplay. This community has gotten way worse over the years...I mean...Listen, all I'm asking is be nice to new players and at least give them a bit of knowledge about the book series, how to roleplay, etc. Otherwise I will grab a dragon from WoF and burn down your house. /another joke/
