This episode of WCW Blunder looks at the many times Sting has been betrayed in World Championship Wrestling. From The Road Warriors to Ric Flair, from Bret Hart to Miss Elizabeth; even the WCW Executive Committee have turned their backs on Sting. This video covers each and every one of these betrayals while asking an important question; why did Sting remain so trustworthy?

So here's something interesting I realized by watching all this time: back in 1995, Hogan was telling Sting Luger couldn't be trusted and now in the timeline in 1999, we have Luger telling Sting Hogan can't be trusted. It was like creative wrote continuity without knowing. Typical WCW.

Id say Vince pulling the trigger on the Montreal Screwjob was a huge blunder !! If he just paid Brett a little bit more it would've changed alot of things. Being 1. Brett never would've left 2. Brett not leaving, gives us more Brett vs Austin, then vs The Rock, etc 3. Owen wouldn't have DIED !!!! 4. Brett wouldn't have gotten kicked by Goldberg, essentially ending his career. 5. So we would've had more years of a healthy Brett going up against Cena, Orton, Brock and so on !! So much ruined by that Blunder. And I know its not technically WCW, but it kinda is due to Brett going to WCW and then Vince buying it anyways.

Look. There're a lot of people out there with friends that they know can't really be trusted but you still want to believe in their ability to get better. Sting's continual attempts to trust guys like Luger kinda spoke to that to a lot of people. Which is why Cynical Sting didn't really catch on in WCW. He could be gloomy and pissed about the situation but 90's fans, despite wrestling moving away from whitemeat babyfaces, really couldn't handle a Sting that didn't trust openly.

You know what? I never liked Sting. He always seemed, to me at least, like he was phoning it in. He never had passion or fire, and he was the "top guy" kinda by default. Basically he was the best they had, which isn't saying much when the best you have can't promo and just goes through the motions in the ring. Then Hogan comes in, and, well that's not gonna work for me brother so I stopped watching WCW.

Didn't Beautiful Bobby also turn on Sting at Clash 17 (admittedly still part of the Dangerous Alliance angle)? Got to be worth an extra point and the all important tie breaker!! :D

I KNOW this is extreme... But, thinking about the day when this series ends, reminds me of death. It makes my heart skip and sink anytime i think about it. Can't thank you and this awesome community enough for all the hours and hours of entertainment and the most positive comment section if had the pleasure of seeing. I'm a Wrestling Bio's guy for life!!!
