Ryback is just pure brute force, Rude could've easily outwitted him in the ring and then given him the rude awakening when he least expected it for the win.....Rude did beat Vader back in the day and Vader in WCW was a much better wrestler than Ryback.

The Ryback character is just pure power, but the Rick Rude character was a thinking man's wrestler. He would win with superior strategy (and cheating--hey he was a heel after all!). Rick Rude had deceptive strength for a man his size. You would not think that someone that looked as lean as he did would be able to lift/slam some of the men that he managed to manhandle in the ring. I think that Rick Rude could run circles around Ryback in the ring and defeat him easily, he would outwit him.
