Finally, after three whole years & a month, the nWo storyline has come to an end in WCW by way of... Hulk Hogan returning to the Red & Yellow and defeating Kevin Nash, thereby "retiring" him. And it happened in front of a legion of Biker Michael Likers, just like when Hollywood Hogan won the WCW Title from The Giant back in 1996. To be perfectly honest, that is ABSOLUTELY the most "WCW in 1999" way of ending the original nWo. In one way, Hogan returning to who he used to be to finish the group he helped start isn't a terrible idea, but since WCW & Eric Bischoff had no idea how to actually end the nWo it just feels bizarre, and the fact that it wasn't done in front of a traditional WCW crowd just makes it all the more fitting.

Did the WWE network EVER organize it's WCW and WWF/E episodes and PPVs chronologically? A while back i got the WWE Network to experience the monday night wars again. But Zero organization, everything just scattered about. I'd have had to sit down with a piece of paper and pain-stakingly looking up and writing down air dates and such. Lost interest.

Fun Fact: I was watching these PPVs at The End Zone Sports Bar on Cannon AFB. In 1999, The WWF shows had packed/standing room attendance. WCW Road Wild 99 was the last WCW PPV The End Zone showed as the remaining WCW shows were moved to a smaller venue.

J was serviceable, but Shaggy could actually go pretty hard and probably could have been a legit high tier worker if he had dedicated himself to being a wrestler full time. Actually, there are a few in the WWE Celeb HoF wing that are deserving. One would be, strangely enough, Donald Trump due to his venues at the time hosting two Wrestlemanias. The other is Andy Kaufman, who FINALLY got duly recognized for his feud with Lawler after years of the WWE having that wing and never giving the guy his props for how well both participants sold everything in that feud.

Also the last PPV for Bobby Duncum Jr. before his sad passing in January of next year, but at least his final match had more dignity than Savage's. Every time Hogan took a Powerbomb or Jacknife from Sid and Nash, it always looked so brutal, like it legitimately hurt him. Maybe it's because he's just so big and solidly built. I don't know. Bigger guys have taken the move obviously, but there's just something about the impact when Hogan hits the mat that makes it look like it REALLY hurts. Off the top of my head, I think he probably took the move less than 10 times (televised anyway) during his career in WWE and WCW. WCW For Life.

He was also a member of The Dark Lotus, even though by rhe time the Lotus album dropped he wasn't anymore. He's on Twiztid's track Maniac Killa where they introduce all the members if Lotus.

If Rodman had trained more in the ring and took some time, I think he could’ve been a great pro wrestler. A guy as tall as him who’s that athletic and agile would’ve been a sight to see, and he was a heat magnet.

Oh I have memories of this PPV from my childhood. I owned it on VHS once upon a time, got it for like $1 or something for just the VHS tape, no box from some rental store. I got enjoyment out of this event, so core memory unlocked lol. Vampiro actually did appear on Twiztid's album 'Freek Show' at the beginning of the track "Maniac Killa." He did technically appear on an ICP album, just not in that capacity. On the Insane Clown Posse album Forgotten Freshness Volume 3 (their compilation series of rare tracks) the spitball recording for that intro on the Twiztid album was released as one of the gag tracks on the album.

The last WCW PPV I watched and while I was disappointed with the outcome of the Sid Vs Sting match, nothing prepared me for the absolute dreary slog that was Savage vs. Rodman. Update: I made a mistake as the last WCW PPV I actually watched was Mayhem, which would come much later. Whoops.

With Summerslam 1999 coming up, I hope you do a video on that Whole Austin-Triple H-Foley backstage "Politcs"... Also on how Chyna fits in this whole situation... Also on the fallout of Summerslam in the Premier Smackdown episode where HBK Superkicks The Rock... To me to this day, despite nothing coming outta of it, that is still the biggest moment in Smackdown History
