One of my fave tournaments so far - I have never wanted to play tournament maps more. The final though is about as fun as can be expected with GL but at least there were some fun moments. Wish GL could be split into an A and B team with Viper and Hera either side but that would never work with money on the line (and not enough players). GG

The vills trapped behind the boars, they had some bad luck but that is just crazy. Must say that GL had some good strategies. Daut vill rush, seeing the tree in the wall and acting on it, well done and a deserved win. Love the maps, different, exciting and good looking.

Amazing tournament! Thank you for the casts! Grand Final was rather short but it had some close games and absolutely stellar strategies, loved it. Previous sets had a lot of long, back and forth games. I'm looking forward to more teamgame tournaments, hoping they will be just as good as this one.

I dont think anybody is “hating” GL. I think most people mean that the state of GL is hurting the competitive scene. Idk if there was a situation like this before Hera joined, but i feel like it won’t encourage new or more sponsors to put up money for tournaments, and viewers to watch if one team is raking it all in. But hopefully it doesn’t come true.

Using 2 or 3 mills to get 3 shore fish with 5 vills is a good way to get food fast. Getting dock and first ship takes time and an extra 125 wood, then you need another 4 x 75 wood and waiting time before you can gather the shore fish. The mill fishing can be used to later transition into farms.

You misunderstood. Dock functions as a mill for shorefish. It's not extra 125 wood, it's only 50 extra wood (mill vs dock). Dock is also useful for creating army in feudal age while a mill here is completely useless after shorefish runs out.

Spoilers Saw the 2 hour time and immediately knew it would be a stomp. Other than the GL games, this tournament was really fun. I love team games and wished we got more tournaments for them, but after seeing GL really have no real competition I'm not sure I want more team tournaments. This final was extremely boring from a neutral's perspective, and was as exciting as the Mavs vs Celtics final last season in the NBA. GL is just too stacked. This game was like watching prime Barcelona against some mid-table team. Also, can mapscripters find a way to make maps balanced and fair for all players? The first game was brutal for Miguel simply because of how open his map was, while Hera's was very enclosed.

Other than the GL games? Did you even watch that GL vs dreamers game? Game of the year right there. The teams might be stacked but you can tell it made GL complacent and led to some interesting upsets. GL was very close to losing to both Wesports and dreamers.
