WeirDomino - 100 Domino Tricks / Techniques

Wdomino presents "WeirDomino", a combination of 'Weird' and 'Domino'. If there is one type of project I have never done before, its a domino tricks video - so here it is!

And as you know me I try to be original and innovative. So that is why the concept of WeirDomino is based on 100 tricks, divided in 10 categories of 10 tricks each. The concept is insiprated by a old flash game called Ball Revamped (made by jmtb02.com). Whenever you play or already know that game, you will understand this video as well.
This project took me alot longer than I ever expected but I am proud on the result.

Nice video - very informational for domino builders! 2. I always called this sideways slow stones for some reason^^ 6. Isn't this "the split" invented by thedominobuilder? 21. Block technique? 92. slowstones? 65 and 89 were my favorite :)

chin eason RGM the edit took me about 5 nights like 7 hrs a day, so 35 hrs editing and the entire project in a timespan of 3 months. DDT 2016 came in between and school took alot of time but when I had 30 tricks then it went fast. Was sometimes hard to think of categorized tricks as I got stuck sometimes..

Definitely some cool tricks in here. I think this is much more interesting than 50,000 dominoes all doing the same thing. I don't understand #45 (@9:36). Why do the dominoes fall that way?

45, because the dominoes are all taped on the underside. This way it has a cool weird effect of folding open on two opposing dominoes, and then in a whole line like this. A tech that was introduced by DominoDayfreak and even used in DominoDay (2008 and 2009)

Most of my dominoes are from Lamping (Germany): www.buy-dominoes.com/lamping/index.html and Bulkdominoes.com (USA), they are both plastic. Materials like DCs and bridges are indeed from wood and are home made (Bulk does sell them)

That indeed is a tricky one. Im actually quite proud to have thought of that technic myself (not sure if anyone else did before me but I found this without any video). You need both hands, one for the underlayer, the other for the actual "herringbone" domino to place at the same time. I could show you, do you know the domino community discord server?

@@Wdomino I actually finally got it to work this morning! You should be proud, it’s an awesome trick! I love the way it sounds when toppling and how the dominoes spread out, all laying flat. I also think the surface is makes a difference. I can’t get them to stay in place on a smooth surface, has to be grippy. I haven’t quite mastered my ability to build it yet but practice makes perfect 👍🏻. Btw, this video was one of my main resources when I really started seriously getting into dominoes. I actually have a spreadsheet with screenshots and descriptions from almost all 100 tricks! ☺️. Thank you for this brother!
