@onewayturtles my last bit of trust disintegrated when my family doctor of 23 years told me my breastmilk provides no immunity support to my baby after 3 months old. Truth... he lied to try to convince me to not delay vaccination. I will always seek confirmation and more detailed information no matter who's hearing the white coat. I wish more people would wake up to how the systems of society are operated..including Healthcare

(Nurse here): New meds are inherently dangerous because we lack longitudinal data. If pharma and medical professionals were 100% transparent, people could make informed decisions on if it is worth the risk. It sounds as though this woman's case was handled poorly, her condition was not identified by her doctor, and her knowledge of side effects was lacking. If people know the potential side effects (read the inserts you toss when you pick up your needs) and opt to take the med regardless, the company can argue that liability falls to the patient. I hope this helps people choose lifestyle changes before reaching for a pill or injection. Remember, medications are inherently risk business and the more types you take the higher your risk for complications. Meds compete in the liver to be metabolized and can circulate longer than is therapeutically safe. Educate yourselves or become victims. Much love to those suffering because of big pharma. ❤

25% of the drugs approved by the FDA are later recalled. Most of their funding comes directly from the pharmaceutical companies. Most of the people who sit on the board of the FDA later go on to work for the pharmaceutical companies. Of course they're more inclined to approve dangerous and under-tested drugs. It's not about public health. It's about money.

Ozempic is not a new drug. It’s been used already for more than two decades for diabetes. The approval for weight loss is new once they noticed patients were losing weight while taking it. The drug is safe for most patients. No drug, including birth control, is safe for everyone. People have been unalived with something as simple as eye drops. All drugs can be abused or misused.

Many decades ago, it used to take years to get a new drug approved by the FDA. But so many people screamed about waiting, about how "Europe does it!" So they eventually relaxed those laws. Now you get drugs without long term studies, and people are "surprised" when long term effects are revealed. People better start deciding if they want it now, or want it safe.

Healthy lipids should be on the list too. I neglected those briefly, and it really does impact gut flow. The water, fiber, and protein balance can be boosted with olive oil or nuts that provide a good amount of monounsaturated or polyunsaturated fats.... walnuts are my go-to. And, it sounds strange but I add wheat bran to anything wet (spaghetti, chili, grits, yogurt, a cooked egg white) to sneak in more fiber. You can't really taste it, and it keeps your insides humming along at a healthy pace.

What ticks me off is that this is a result of Doctors working for pharmaceutical companies. Male doctors for decades, and to this very day, do not want to address a woman's hormones. A highly considerable amount of overweight women are overweight due to menopause, peri-menopause and just plain hormonal changes. Diabetes is a HORMONE issue. So doctors, hospitals, insurance companies do not want to address hormonal issues in women because it would seriously impact their bottom line. Women have to fight like hell to be healthy. We have to pay more for healthier food, we have to spend more time shopping (which if you have children is impossible) for fresh food, we have to take more time to read and educate ourselves on how to keep ourselves healthier. And some women have so many people roadblocking them on trying to live healthier. We fight and struggle to be healthy and the medical community just works against us.

Now we have every syndrome, all kinds of pills being popped, and for what????? Folks spoke back about Targets choice of clothing, yet no one is DOING anything about the poison going in your body. With all due respect, I don't think being a woman has anything to do with anything in most cases or diabetes. Diabetes is only so much a hormone issue in the sense that insulin is classified as a hormone, but it's not a sex-specific hormone like estrogen or progesterone. It's definitely apples and oranges, especially when you consider the number of men who also have diabetes. One of the simple things to look at with diabetes is the simple issue of carbohydrate intake. At the beginning of the video, the lady said she could only eat a couple peanuts and one cookie, which looked like a Nutter Butter. Why is she eating those cookies to begin with? Even if you don't have diabetes, the only nutritional purpose of such a food is to provide simple sugars, which a person with diabetes should be avoiding! That kind of snack is super processed and high in sugar and other things that increase inflammation in the body, increasing the risk of comorbidities from diabetes. Even if she felt like she was unable to take in a reasonable amount of food, she should have been trying to take in something more nutritious and less unhealthy.

Why would she lay on the couch for a year without being able to get up instead of insisting to her Doctor to be taken off Ozempic? Did she even tell her doctor she couldn't physically get off the couch? There are quite a few other drugs for type 2 Diabetes she could have taken. She may not have been put on Ozempic for weight loss but if she had over 140 lbs to lose I suspect she kept taking Ozympic in spite of her symptoms because she was happy with the weight loss and didn't want to give up that aspect of the drug. I am sorry to hear she has what appears to be long term damage from being on the drug.

@@bettygrable6440 - This is 2024 and the news report states at Time Stamp 0:35 that she was prescribed Ozempic three years ago and the news report reiterated that at Time Stamp 1:35 by the reporter stating she was prescribed Ozempic in 2021. Just saying that to show she was on the drug at least two years. Then at Time Stamp 1:30 the reporter showed how frail she got WHILE ON THE DRUG, these are the reporter's exact words. That means she had problems while she was taking Ozempic. If you go to Time Stamp 1:34 on the video she said that she lost 140 lbs and got down to 87 lbs. She did not say she had stopped taking the drug at any point as she was losing down to 87 lbs. She was out of control in continuing to take the drug and losing weight even though she was becoming very frail. She had medical problems which was likely the beginnings of Gastroparesis and her problems with the drug had to have been going on a long time and she still did not take herself off the drug. No where does she say she notified her Doctors of her extensive problems and they told her to stay on the drug. Go to Time Stamp 2:00 and the reporter says Doctors told her to quit taking the drug in 2023. Doctors had to tell her to quit taking it. That was just last year. She did not take herself off the drug regardless of all of the problems she experienced which were so extensive they made her frail WHILE SHE WAS ON THE DRUG. She could have stopped taking the drug at any point in the two years she took it. Can you share where the information came from that she stopped the drug and only then was when she couldn't leave the couch or eat because the reporter said she became frail WHILE ON THE DRUG. She actually looks like she has gained weight after stopping the drug if she was only 87 lbs when she was still taking it . Remember according to this report she got frail WHILE ON THE DRUG, not after the Doctors ordered her to stop taking it.

@@bettygrable6440 at time stamp 1:30 in the video the reporter states she became frail, quote "While Taking The Drug". She was on the drug for two years from 2021 to 2023 according to this report. Yet she lost 140 lbs and didn't go off the drug over a two year period of time even though she was experiencing severe health problems. So even if a portion of that 140 lbs lost was due to Gastroparesis after the fact, she could have gone off the drug long before she did to mitigate her damage and suffering. If she had anywhere near even 100 lbs to lose she was morbidly obese and the weight loss aspect of the drug would be quite enticing which is my opinion. There are many other Diabetes drugs out there. Diabetes went away, A1C went down, they lost weight AND had no side effects. Not to mention, listen to your body!,, after awhile, if your not feeling better, stop the drug. Don’t distress your organs due to ignorance. We live in a day n age where tons of information is out there, do your homework, ask questions, weigh the pros n cons. I see my primary doctor every 3 months, it’s part of being on a new drug without a heck of a lot studies available. Also Ozempic has been found to help with depression and anxiety. There is really no excuse not to know the side effects as they are explained by the pharmacist at pickup and in the package in the form of a comprehensive document spelling them out. Data can also be found online in various languages. However, those who lack functional literacy, awareness, or lack the inclination to research something themselves are going to find themselves at high risk for this sort of thing. Make informed decisions and anticipate the side effects 😢

This is a fairly new drug with very little research. My depression medication ( Lexapro ) has more serious side effects than Ozempic ever will. I didn’t take it at first because the side effects scared the shyt out of me. However, in talking to others on this drug, they experienced more positive side effects than neg ones. Abuse is everywhere. People cry wolf when truth be told, all the Pharmaceutical Co are doing is a service that’s in demand. They can do their best to tell you possible side effects, but it’s a risk we all take. Like driving, The best answer to this situation is to take good care of your body.

I have it naturally and i can’t believe no one thought that this wouldn’t be a serious issue! THIS DISEASE CAN KILL YOU. Easily. The food rots in your stomach and sometimes, it can pass through, rotting in your intestines. It makes even drinking water a choir cause as soon as you drink it, it immediately sends your stomach into shock and you’re vomiting constantly or doubled over in the worse pain you’ve ever could imagine. FROM JUST A SIP. And if you do happen to use the bathroom, it’s either REALLY loose (I’m not joking, literal WATER) coming out or you’re completely constipated. There is no in between. Kidney failure, IBS, Crohn’s and cancer comes with this. Some medications help, but a lot only helps you to “manage” symptoms. Doesn’t fix anything. You’re stuck with supplements. For life.

I've been on Ozempic for 4 months. I was on Metformin & Glipizide but they didn't help my A1C. Since taking Ozempic, my A1C has improved drastically! My only side effect so far is N/V a few days after I take my weekly shot. I've only lost 5lbs but I noticed undigested vitamins the day after ingesting them. So yes, gastroparesis seems to be a problem. I'm taking it one week at a time for now.

I was prediabetic but I switched my diet to green vegetables grown above ground and meat, with water. I lost at least four sizes now, and can see my blood veins in my legs again. I still crave sugar and have times I can't resist eating it. But I still try to keep it at bay. NO MEDICATIONS!!! I also try to keep active.

This is sad. As a healthcare professional, I see customers spend thousands of dollars out of pocket to get Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, and Zepbound. All of them were made to be used along with diet changes and exercise, but so many forget the "diet and exercise" part of treatment. I understand some want a quick fix or easy way out, but these are not drugs you can take for the rest of your life.

this is why the weight loss industry needs to be flipped on its head. while Ozempic and other semiglutitudes (however it’s spelled) have mostly been prescribed to T2D patients; ever since celebrities have been coming out talking about how it helped them lose weight significantly, big pharma has taken that opportunity to profit off of people’s insecurities. It doesn’t help that society has normalized being abusive towards people with weight issues. of course people will go great lengths to achieve being thin if that means being treated better by others. shouldn’t be a surprise that big pharma capitalized off of this. real change will come when we start prioritizing internal health over physical appearance. change in physical appearance should be seen as a bonus not a necessity for good health.

I've since lost over 40 lbs and now my A1C is at 6.43. I STILL EAT WHATEVER I WANT AND STILL DO NOT EXERCISE. I'm in Remission due to Breast cancer Stage 3. The chemo is what caused my diabetes 😢😢😢. Doc says I'll be off the Ozempic and no longer diabetic by fingers 🤞 the end of this year or early Spring next year. God willing. I've had Zero side effects from the Ozempic this far. God bless.

I am diabetic. I was doing well on Metformin but my doctor wanted me to try Ozempic, she said it would prevent heart disease, possible stroke. I was so sick after 2 doses. I was nauseous, constantly with stomach cramps, bloating and depression. No thanks. I have a family member who developed gallstones after 3 months. I’ve used ozempic off and on for the last year going on two and I use a wellness nurse practitioner who orders labs, assesses my progress weekly and prescribes something to ensure my intestines are healthy and functioning and moving as needed. I just need a little help getting my weight back to normal limits and then I maintain without the ozempic. Like right now, I haven’t had ozempic for months and have managed to keep the weight off by eating healthy, walking a lot and just being proactive. If you’re going to use the ozempic, also use wisdom. Also, I was given B12 injections each week along with the ozempic.

You are so right, this given to “people” at home is a big no no & so true totally open to abuse. I started it and they measured me, I took test. I too had B12 shots with mine. The are very very strick, lots of water ( I add Celtic salt) Pedi-light. Yes the first shot had me vomiting violently.. I went to get fluids and zophan IV drip therapy. It solved the nausea and dehydration immediately. I was also informed by doctor to take dulcolax at night. You have to stay active every day I train 4-5 days a week to maintain muscle and lifestyle. Can’t use this stuff forever

I'm a board cert Ed Dr. Diabetes itself is also a very common cause of gastroparesis. I'd be careful assuming correlation= causation in all these cases. And *never* trust a class action lawyer , they tend to screw over their clients ... That said, of course it's extremely important to help these people, better manage how this drug is prescribed, and guard against the big pharma profit motives that socialize way too much of pharmaceutical risks to the unsuspecting public.

I am on Ozempic now and my doctor prescribed me it for weight loss and because I was prediabetic and on the verge of type 2. When I first started it I was throwing up violently on and off and noticed the food in my throw up was from a week earlier and still in my stomach. It also gave me worse constipation which was already bad when I started. I have been at 1mg for a while now and it stopped helping me lose weight as I'm hungry again but It did bring my A1C levels down a good bit to where the are pre diabetic again. My doc wants me to go to 2 mg but I'm so scared to go up on my dose and have the violent throwing up again and even worse constipation.
