At concerts, EVERYONE here in Germany knew they were international top tier, not a niche "Power Metal Band". Voice and Songwriting was just too good. Andre Olbrich is seriously the best guitarist in the world!!! Those harmonies in end of the Prophecies' solo are so full of emotion, I feel SO EPIC!!! I'm tired of technically skilled guitarists with no soul, I choose Olbrich over any other guitarist any day of the year! Everyone always talks about Hansi but I truly believe that the magic that differs BG from other bands and makes them so special is Andre Olbrich's writing!

True you can´t forget about Andre and most people tend to forget the pillars, but still, imagine whatever Blind Guardian song without Hansi. Or rather, don´t imagine it because that would... Nah, don´t wanna.

It's the mix of those two and the chemistry they have as long friends that fuels the creativity of BG. Markus surely has some impact too, but the majority of stuff is Andre and Hansi exchanging creative ideas.

@@tradtke101 I'm not all that big on Volbeat (but I do love Ghost), but I will fully admit that Poulsen has a remarkable voice. My personal picks if we're just talking about adding to the list of all-time great (male) metal vocalists would be Bruce Dickinson. I missed "Bright eyes", "Sacred", "a voice in the dark" and I really want to hear their covers in a concert at least once. The drummer and bassist were in darker outfits, the guitarists brighter outfits. Then, right before the vocals kicked in, Hansi strolled out on stage... dressed as Elvis! 😆 Amazing!
