Wine Bar George and Flying Fish are the only restaurants we eat at twice each Disney trip. I love the mac and cheese bites and then we split the skirt steak and also get the desserts. We also love to sit on the balcony. It is a great place to people watch but feel like you are in your own special place in Disney World. Brunch is also amazing.

Love WBG and love George! He is the hardest working guy in the whole property. He make the place great. The meatballs ate so good. Also love the saganaki! So good. 😊 great point on the mock tails. It shouldn’t break 6 or 7. I got a mocktail at Topolinos and it was less then ten and was delicious.

Great review! Can't wait for our first visit to Wine Bar George in April - and we will be drinking wine.:) There is an area in Detroit called Greek Town. All of the restaurants serve saganaki. The only difference is that when the server lights it on fire they shout OPA! Lots of fun! There are normally so many of the apps being served that it raises the temperature in the restaurant 5 - 10 degrees! LOL! Can't wait to try Wine Bar George's version!

Our exact happy place on WDW property - that balcony. Funny thing is, you ate things I've never had at WBG except for that delicious fresh hummus (and I've been there at LEAST 12 times) and I'd say the same as you for everything I've eaten, too... The food is UH-MAZ-ING. And I totally understand and respect your perspective on the mocktail,... but we ARE wine drinkers and can tell you that their sommeliers and wine selection are also UH-MAZ-ING. The staff is the most friendly and down-to-earth of any we've encountered on WDW property. They remember us from one summer to the next! And I second what my hubby commented earlier - brunch is also amazing, and I suggest you try it sometime, Deni!!! 😊

Appreciate your comment re: price of the alcohol-free cocktail. You also mention the saganaki cheese on fire -- it’s troubling when other bloggers have reviewed it and talk about how the alcohol burns off. This is only part true. A flame dish actually retains about 85% of the alcohol. (There’s interesting info online from the USDA about alcohol retention in food). I really wish all restaurants would indicate dishes prepared with alcohol. I always indicate I have an allergy and talk with the waiter and/or chef about alcohol-free items. This might not be a comfortable conversation for a person who is newly sober or someone in mixed company who doesn’t want to disclose this to their dining companions (did my masters thesis on persons in recovery and disclosing that fact).

So we always get the Steak Frites. It is now $19 used to be a little less, but it’s really good and really affordable for what you get. It is only available between noon and 3pm on their lunch menu. 😊

Last year my wife and I took out two granddaughters to wine bar George and I couldn’t of felt less welcome, we left they should be more accommodating to children.

Went there in September. One and done. Too noisy and all the plates we had were just ok. If you enjoy crowded, noisy places you’ll love it.
