Thanks for sharing this with us Tom. I was at EPCOT CENTER the third day it was open 40 years ago. Lots of great memories. 40 years later and Voices of Liberty still brings me to tears, every time!

Love the Mariachi & Voices of Liberty. Two staples of the Epcot experience. Glimpse of Walt was nice, but wanted some more of him. Epcot is a "special park" Others have tried to duplicate it, but there is only ONE Epcot! One such tried experience was Six Flags AutoWorld (1984 Flint, MI)

There are only two groups still performing now who were also performing on opening day of EPCOT: Mariachi Cobra and Voices of Liberty. 40 years. They deserve 20 minutes after giving us 40 years. My humble opinion.

Some Original opening day characters or songs, maybe CMs or guests that were there on opening day could recount some memories even? Epcot just gets shafted a lot on this kind of stuff and it’s a favorite park for a ton of people.

We'll be in Orlando Monday, and in the Disney parks Thursday through Sunday. Sorry we missed this, but when the hurricane hit, we were afraid we wouldn't make it at all! Glad we're going regardless!

“Incredible set”? You mean fantastic performance, terrible, high pitch, squeaky host. Also, how fast can you say really really, other terrible, robotic host. VOL is such a parody of itself, like a typical vocal group on the Simpsons, yuk.
