Yep, this happened. Nothing about this was scripted. We literally walked up right to his gym (which we had no idea where it was). We asked if we could film, and filmed the first part of this clip. Then we got word that Manny's showing up AT that VERY moment! What a stroke of luck! We had no idea how the day would pan out when we headed out to the neighborhood of Sampaloc. i used to go to intramuros museum... and the squatters used to be just few. when i went back there two years ago, i shocked to see how they grew out there. in just the span of 5-10 years. they also took out the greenery in almost all part of Manila. like "the fort global bonifacio, where i used to run and fire flys are all over the place at night, a small lake. and edsa, quezon ave, where now a condo stands. most plants for sale is gone, macapagal ave. where MOA now stands. my area as well are now filled with buildings in the same span of 8-10 years. its over crowded, and im not happy with it. i was hoping they had save a small part of a forest in manila, but no!!! and when i went to tagaytay or clark pampanga, its starting to be different as well... nothing is forever. as they say.

My Danish husband is a big Manny Pacquiao fan. During one of our annual vacations in Mindanao I asked him if he wanted to meet Pacman in his element/environment (which means see him train in his gym in General Santos City) since we were passing by the city on our way to visit our relatives for the weekend. The paid tour included a visit to his mansion where his staff says Manny was currently having lunch and a bible study session. Being Scandinavian, my husband wasn't into personal stuff, he just wanted to see Manny train, so he declined that part of the tour and we just went straight to his gym where Freddie Roach was waiting. We were introduced to him and we talked for a bit, really nice fellow. About an hour later, the man arrived, we were literally sitting next to him while he was tying his trainers, etc. Very soft-spoken with so many staff around him. My husband watched him train with Roach while I videotaped everything.I have never seen my husband so still, he was so absorbed watching MP and his trademark fastness (and all that sound his fist makes when he punches), he didn't know I took a video. When we got to our relative's place, he was so excited to tell his story . Then my cousin casually told him, we should have told me him we wanted to meet Pacman because they play basketball together at his mansion. Turns out, my cousin takes care of his gardens. :D. (And I had to pay a couple of thousands to go to his gym!). Needless to say, the video of my husband watching Manny Pacquiao train is his priceless possession. :)
