Elden ring uses a Base HP * Area Scaling for the game. I'm not versed well enough with all the exact numbers to calculate it perfectly, but considering the Giant Rat had ~1500 hp and the Massive Rat had ~5000 hp, that'd make the area hp scaling to not be that high at all. I think Giant Rats in Altus Plateau have a very similar amount of HP. This would imply that the area scaling is really not that high for this area and that supposedly this area would fit in at a similar level as Altus. EDIT: Weirdly the large Living Pots appear to have much more HP at ~4000 hp, I think that's by far the highest HP a large Living Jar has with even the ones in the Mountaintops having something like ~2000 hp. This would make my earlier assumption very incorrect as the area scaling would have to be something akin to the end-game areas or higher, Mohgwyn Palace or Haligtree etc. This is what we'd expect considering you have to defeat Mohg to access the DLC, but with my earlier data from the Rats has thrown me for a loop.

​@@oneboop8374 That's not true at all. The DLC will not be scaled to your level. As far as I'm aware, the DLC will be a fixed difficultly and will almost definitely behave like how the difficulty does in the vanilla game. Each zone or region will have a multiplier to enemy stats. What will exist in the DLC is an additional optional system where the player can get a multiplier to their damage and health. This system is done though acquiring either and item or maybe a boss drop or something gated behind progress and will be an optional thing for the player to invest into.
