Happy New Year! Thank you for the mention 😊 My new island is Lark Shire with a blue airport and Pashmina and Goose. Excited about your new series announcement! Scattergories… Derivatives! (Ok it’s kind of a subject within a subject… I took Latin in HS and that was a big section of it. It’s about English words that are derived from Latin ones in case that’s a new word for anyone…) 😂

Oh my god, i hadn't yet got to the part where you mention other content creator's who have started a new island and you mentioned It's Me, Carraleigh who I also just recently discovered. What a small world. Love her channel and content but all caught up now which is why I was looking for new content creator's as I'm a bit bored of Sims. I was watching all sorts before Animal Crossing such as House Flipper and all manner of simulation games but thought I'd come back to Animal Crossing as my daughter used to play it and loved it. I think i may have bought it for her one Easter as she had bought herself the Switch and wanted Aniaml Crossing, I also used to watch a girl play years ago but not sure if she is still doing it. Really enjoying watching. It's so relaxing and wholesome. Pure escapism :)

I am so excited! I like your name too. I am curious about your mystery announcement. I did restart this morning. It took me 12 tries (the map is the one you went to first in this video)! Green airport (didn't want orange), peaches (didn't want cherries), Sylvia and Sterling (both rough but I don't have their photos). Decided to name it Yearlong because all names that meant forever were stressing me out. So here's to sticking to no time travelling for all of 2024 😮. And my school subject is Data Science.

I'm Not starting a new island but it feels like I am because I'm going to be time traveling for the first time! A brand-new experience for me. I've got peaches as my native fruit (mom sent apples - yay!), orange airport, pansies (somehow I grew to like them, even though they were my least favorite). Flo and Louie moved in with me, haven't had them before - thus decided to stick with this roll :)

I also restarted my island yesterday which is ironically also my forever Island. I got a yellow airport because I like how it looks in all the seasons. I got Paula and Tybalt as my starters and decided to name my Island Goldenrod after the flower.

i recently restarted my original island because i started it in 8th grade which was like 4 years ago i’m going into my senior year now and never got to decorating i was just gathering stuff and i didnt know how to terraform so i felt very stuck when i decided to play again for the first time in a year and i realized i could just restart and i thought if i would regret it but i knew i had so many memories from my island that it wouldn’t actually be gone, and i get to start a new island as i start a new stage in my life 😁 i am so happy i did it my game play is so much more enjoyable! and ik this time what i would eventually want my island to look like

I know I probably won’t finish those in a year but I will probably speed run those after one year.

I'm not a content creator, but I wanna get the stuff so I can become one. I did start a new island though! It's called Briar Rose and I'm going fairy tale with it. I was originally going to make it an all cat island since that was what the previous island on this switch was and I didn't finish it. But now I'm going to go half cats, half frogs, because Frog Prince, anyone? lol. My starters for this one were Frita and Poncho, neither of which I've had before!

Nothing, kind of. I just prefer it. Since this is going to be my "forever" island, I wanted to make sure it was what I wanted. The color of your airport determines the color of some things you can buy with Nook Miles, like your streetlamps. That used to be a very big deal for people who wanted their islands to have a specific color palette or feel to them. But now we have Harv's Island co-op. You can set up Reese and Cyrus's trailer, and he can customize things. This isn't available until you reach three stars. But most people just choose the airport color for how it fits their theme. The orange one is good for fall islands. The green one is good for spring ones. Things like that. I prefer the blue, since it just kind of blends in with the water. I feel like that makes it neutral, and it can go with anything. Thanks for asking! :)
