Really happy you two are safe!! Cars are amazing machines, but man they're so big and powerful just one wrong move......Glad you were paying attention enough to know to hit the throttle instead of the brake. Instinctively people always just want to slam on the brakes at the first sign of trouble. I've had more than a couple near misses with deer, and just avoiding cats, where the only way I didn't hit them was because I threw on the gas to be able to whip the car around them.

Sadly, I learned the hard way that life can be good one minute and over the next with the sudden death of a neighborhood friend in a car crash two years ago. She was only 17. I saw her a few hours before her death looking happy. It's just so eerie. So, happy you two are safe. Take care!

in 2011 coming from a meeting my mom was driving a suzike esteem station wagon the highway patrol pulled a car my stopped to let the highway patrol car out another came from grape vine just before Bakersfield California toalted my moms car out my father was in the back seat my father was up there in age he was raised during the great my depredation my father was still alive had to go to the doctor the next day sorry for any misspells or mistakes in spelling.

I meant another car hit my moms car I was nervous the highway patrol after he pulled the other car he saw what happened after he pulled the jeep over he called in a tow truck if my didn't notice the highway patrol car there would have been a four car pile up sorry about that.

My first time watching this video, and I totally feel for you. Car accidents are no fun. My brakes went out on my car while I was driving down a hill. I unfortunately crashed into a house that was at the end. I literally came inches away from hitting the woman who's bedroom I went through. It was the scariest thing ever. I live in San Francisco, and I cannot drive fast down a hill, like faster than 25. I freak out and have flashbacks, and that happened in 2012. I walked away with a small bruise. My daughter (who was around 6 months old at the time) was 100 percent ok, but shaken up. Luckily her father was in the backseat with her. I remember it perfectly to this day. No fun.

Last week I was bed bound with dengue fever and contemplated many of the feelings and people for which I am grateful. More than once, it occurred to me how fond I have become of Justin and his almost-daily messages of positivity. I also momentarily remarked to myself how bad I would feel should anything tragic happen to this remarkable young man. When I saw the thumbnail for this video, my heart sunk, and I hoped as I pushed play that in true Justin style this video would have another message of optimism and gratitude. I am genuinely grateful Justin & Ally survived this potentially devastating event together, and I am certain it has only further strengthened their desire to share life and make memories together.

My hubby and I know that feeling; ironically, I had just finished my 2nd interview for a position at the Disneyland hotel--on our way home driving the 60 Pomona fwy-- got hit by a semi--sent us spinning across four lanes--(heart's beating fast thinking back writing this!) ANYWAY, miraculously we were ok, just a tweaked back that I can totally live with. We got home, held each other, and cried on the bed. We're sure we were spared that day. ❤

I've seen and heard a couple of car accidents before and the scariest part is that eerie silence after. I actually almost might have been murdered on my birthday once. It was a girl instead, a target, in the woods. I was coming back from my lifeguarding classes and decided to take a short cut but for some reason, I felt this urge that I shouldn't. So I went through the neighborhood instead. Later in the evening, we get police showing up telling us someone had been killed in the woods by us (which is what I was going to go through before). On my BIRTHDAY. How ironic is that?! I couldn't stop thinking about it after, and I definitely avoided the woods for a long time after that. They shaved it up a lot, shaped it well, and added a nice wide path so it's not as sketchy there anymore.

As someone that had a near-death experience (I had a roller-coaster lap-bar malfunction and open as we left the station- fortunately, I was really dedicated to holding on and the coaster didn't invert) it's the fear of what could've happened that gets you. Frig man I was hit head on in 2008 by a drunk guy 20 years old driving an older Ford Ranger pick-up, I had my 1999 Cavalier I suffered a broken foot, both ankles and a few ribs because my dumb ass wasn't wearing my seatbelt and my chest hit the wheel, the drunk had a small cut from the window popping, after we hit he was still trying to drive when other people ran up to the truck he didn't even know he had crashed. To this day I have leg pain and walk with a limp and I'm only 34.
