@ as you can probably tell, you move far too fast for the level, 06 was designed for a different style of sonic You often bump into things, theres hard turns and generally theres no flow Its like the stage is open world, theres hard turns have to be points where movement is restricted and overall, the movement is just way off for the 06 levels

That sounds fair. The goal of this fan game more than anything is to see what it would be like to play a Sonic game with absolutely no automation i.e. no springs, no dash panels, no dash rings and no moments where control is taken from the player. Of course, giving complete freedom of movement to the player does also mean these levels are essentially broken wide open in ways the originally devs may never have intended. Hopefully, I might get around to designing my own levels that take full advantage of the movement tech I've been working on.

By Default, the Dynamic Camera and Dynamic FOV Options are enabled but these can be turned off. You can also set a Custom FOV when Dynamic FOV is turned off.

@@steel_neel Thanks for the suggestion 👍 However, it's probably for the best that this game isn't an official Sonic game. The great thing about fan games is that they get to be experimental in ways that Sega and Sonic Team may not have considered. That being said, I'd be more than happy for Sonic Team to take any inspiration they can from this and other Sonic fan games. Unless I receive a most generous offer, I think I still prefer to work on this project in my spare time. I know I will never make any money from this but that's why it's more fulfilling as a hobby than as a product that needs to be shipped by a given deadline. Who knows though, maybe I'll one day follow the path of the Rollin' Rascal Developer and make my own fast-paced spectacle platformer IP. No promises though

I still have yet to properly get into this game I tried on keyboard and mouse (since my controller is partially broken) and it didnt really work out fantastically I dunno if it's just because I'm not used to the controls or because I'm on KB/M

Controller is what I would recommend but failing that, the Options Menu should let you swap keybinds/buttons.

This isn't a sonic 06 remake LOL This is a better boost sonic put into an 06 environment and it isn't good Stick to project 06 everyone But seriously this breaks the game having a sonic this fast without any of the old mechanics 06 had is just rbreaking it BUT this has serious potential as its own original open world fangame, coz sonic moves really nicely

Oh yeah, no doubt the movement in this game totally breaks the 06 levels. Sonic P-06 is what I would recommend to anyone looking to try Sonic 06 the proper way. On the one hand, I couldn't resist shamelessly porting levels to my game instead making my own but on the other hand, I've found being able to freely run through these levels without any automation makes them all the more replayable for me.

Y'know, sometimes, my brother refers to the games I play as "very much for autistic people". This is fine and in good humour, as we're both diagnosed with autism. @@AuntieAliasing AFAIK, I think @lexo632 means that the project may have become too bloated with features. As for the lack of objects, I do have plans to eventually populate the levels with rings to collect, Badniks to destroy and Checkpoints to save progress but I've been working on building other parts of the game.

By Default, the FOV changes depending on how fast Sonic is going and the camera's 'look-at target' is offset so the camera is always pointed slightly ahead of where Sonic is going. However, these can be turned off in the Options Menu and a custom FOV can be set. Hopefully this might mitigate any nausea.
