As a lawyer I thought he’ll sound more educated and civil but instead he let the northern guy get to him (by the way with just a few words) and he completely went off point, and started responding to the northerner in an agitated manner instead of sticking to point/topic...he got derailed so easily!!! Unfortunately, history suggests that the Yoruba will turn against the Igbo using the same Amotekun. Let us examine the history. Only twice in history have the Fulani-led cabal taken their killing machine to the SW (after Awo's imprisonment; and after June 12). Twice the Igbo led an effective resistance in aid of the Yorubas. After Awo's imprisonment the cabal killed thousands of IPOB-like Yorubas who rioted in protest in several Yoruba cities in 1963. Incidentally the killing was overseen by the platoon leader of the 2nd infantry brigade, Abeokuta, a certain MUHAMMADU BUHARI. As a reward for dealing with Yorubas, that same 1963, Buhari was given a double promotion on the same day by the Balewa regime. The Nzeogwu coup was mainly a reaction to the Sardauna's castration of Western Region (declaring a state of emergency, rigging out and imprisoning Awo). Before you argue this fact please read the books 'Nzeogwu' by Obasanjo and 'Why We Struck' by Major Ademoyega. The Nzeogwu coup was staged to free Awo and make him Prime Minister. It was this same coup carried out for Awo's sake that eventually led to the civil war. And Awo whom the coupists were rooting for became the arrow-head of the death of three million Igbos. After the June 12 election was annulled, the cabal again killed rioting Yoruba masses. Many of the Yoruba leaders escaped abroad to avoid being killed. NADECO was formed to challenge the cabal. An Igbo - Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu - became the Chairman of NADECO Nigeria; another Igbo - Chief Ralph Obioha led NADECO-USA (It was Obioha that accommodated and took personal care of MKO’s daughters in USA); another Igbo - Chief Raph Uwechue - who later became the President of Ohaneze - was the chairman of NADECO-UK; yet another Igbo - Emma Ezeazu led NADECO Youth wing. Remember that NADECO was the Yoruba equivalent of IPOB or MASSOB! Twice in history the Fulani-led cabal have taken their killing machine to the SE - after the declaration of Biafra in 1967 and after IPOB declared "No Referendum; no Election" in 2017. Twice most Yoruba either joined or cheered on the Fulani-led cabal to "finish off" the Igbo. It is sad.

What an eye opener this interview has been for those of us who have a third eye and understand some elements of human psychology. Congratulations to My learned brother Mr Olasupo who was civil and held his nerve despite some provocative statements. He stood his grounds and made his point. I have not called him my brother because I am a Yoruba man . Far from it. I am not Yoruba. I have referred to him as such because of the abilities he has displayed, the selflessness to his people and passion to the wellbeing of his people he has displayed. It is commendable. I can therefore extrapolate that this initiative AMOTEKUN means well to not only the YORUBAS but also by proxy to any NIGERIAN living and doing business in the SOUTH WEST WHICH INCLUDES THOSE MR ALHASSAN IS CLAIMING TO WISH TO PROTECT FROM HIS ASSERTION. Now to you Mr. ALHASSAN, I am sorry to say as a neutral observer, that you were not civil. It would appear that you had fixed views and beliefs which were to me tending towards becoming delusional. You could not substantiate most of your claims. There are similar initiatives in NORTHERN NIGERIA like the HISBAH, which though you could argue now have legislative backing by the state government but at the time they commenced operations where no different from AMOTEKUN IS CURRENTLY. Note that despite the fact that NIGERIA BY CONSTITUTION IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SECULAR STATE, civilised Nigerians from the south and Christians from the North ignored the setting and implementation of SHARIA in as many as 12 states in a so called secular NIGERIA. Today the SHARIA POLICE CARRY OUT THEIR ACTIVITIES FREELY IMPOSING THEIR BELIEF ON EVEN CHRISTIANS WHO LIVE IN THE NORTH AND DO NOT SHARE THESE BALUES THAT HAVE BEEN IMPOSED ON THEM. YOUR fellow Nigerians have remained tolerant and civil, perhaps because they believe that peace should rain. Now Mr ALHASSAN, can you explain what offence it is for the governors of a nation like the YORUBAS to identify a problem, articulate a solution and implement it. Rather than your group to give them a huge pat of encouragement, what you have resorted to is cheap propaganda. Do you think the security that AMOTEKUN would provide would be exclusive to the YORUBAS? Don’t you know that the same people you are claiming to protect, the HERDERS WHO DO BUSINESS IN YORUBA LAND would be better off in a more secure and safe environment? What exactly are your fears? I do not comprehend them. Are you not aware of the security threats and challenges that various parts of the country have faced over the last many months to years even leading to the untimely death of Pa Reuben Fasoranti’s daughter that was believed to have been murdered by the herdsmen that you speak for? I just mentioned this case but It does not make others who have suffered in the hands of the herdsmen any less than Pa Fasoranti’s daughter. Mr. ALHASSAN, left me stress and I am sure I speak the mind of majority in the SOUTH WEST AND INDEED PEACE LOVING NIGERIANS, that unless you are telling us that you are concerned that the activities of your HERDSMEN borders on insecurity to their host communities, I do not see a rational reason for you to be concerned for these herders. IF INFACT THEY ARE THE SOURCE OF THESE INSECURITIES WHICH WE ALL BELIEVE, THEN THAT WOULD MOST CERTAINLY EXPLAIN YOUR TREPIDATION. IF SO, IT LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED AND JUSTIFIES THE PEOPLES FEARS. You are not oblivious of the fact that despite all the heinous killings and other atrocities, the FEDERAL POLICE have made very infinitesimal arrests and prosecutions and you still expect the public to have confidence in them? Finally, Mr ALHASSAN, AMOTEKUN IS A CLARION CALL from the whole of NIGERIANS FOR SECURITY. BSS (BIAFRA SECURITY SERVICE) was the first response to that and you guys clamped down on it. If that had not happened, most of those that are dead today would have still been alive .other regions would have emulated them. We all therefore see AMOTEKUN as a second chance to achieve some respite by way of security. Any person or group that wishes to constitute themselves a nuisance shall be discarded into the trash can. AMOTEKUN IS THE DESIRE OF THE PEOPLE AND WOULD STAND. PLEASE GET USED TO THE IDEA BECAUSE IT IS HERE TO STAY.Stop being PARANOID. I hope it’s operations is not an antidote to an agenda which you know that we don’t. Could that be why you and your likes are opposed to this NOVEL INITIATIVE? Food for thought eh!

Cos I really don't understand what he was spitting there. At least thank God that the Channels team acted professionally this time around cos security is a responsibility of all and sundry be it poor or rich its negative impact will surely get to you sooner or later if it is not attended to... Saleh Alhassan’s illiteracy and reckless judgement is symbolic of the Hausa/Fulani lack of foresight and irrational pursuit to ransack others. Does this fool even think it’s right for the herders to invade the bushes in the south in the first place, what this cow refer to as bushes are people’s farmlands and means of livelihood, himself and his cows should be in ranches and not on the farm lands in the south. If Fulani herdsmen are engaged in criminal activities it is high time they check their excesses if they are not then they do not need to panic. The northern wolves may huff and puff all they want but the southerners will defend themselves against these blood thirsty monsters at all cost If it costs Nigeria her unity so be it!

For once in a very long time, the yorubas are standing up to the hausas. The hausas feel they own Nigeria and that's why 99% of government parastatals are controlled and headed by the Hausas. It's quite unfortunate that Nigeria is under the rule of the Hausas that are the least educated and civilised region in Nigeria.

The yeye Constitution was the brain child of Col. Aguiyi Ironsi. After he overthrew and disrupted the regional system of government, he set up his government with the unitary Constitution but he failed to consolidate power which led to his demise. The northerners initially kicked against the new unitary Constitution until they learned how to use it to their own advantage. Now they love it and will not trade it for anything else no matter what.

AMOTEKUN: The mistake you made was making noise about it. Action speaks louder than words. Thousands of rural people are being killed, raped and kidnapped, no one has cared. Simply defend them, get on with your aim. Forget about informing biased people who could not care less. Now you have informed them, you see the empty opposition and empty noise that is being made be people who don’t care or understand the cries of Law Abiding citizens. AMOTEKUN has the support of the people who need it. THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS.

Amotekun most be vigorously and desperately pursue by the Yoruba to protect everyone who reside on their land,Yoruba and non Yoruba. Protecting your ancestral land is sacrosanct. No development comes to those who seek chaos but those in peace. In fact,Middle belts need Amotekun as soon as possible or else our ancestral is hijacked and our land become lawless.
