I went and imported a VW official armrest from VW China. The armrest itself was R1050 and shipping I think was R1300. But you have to take out the centre console to install it. VW sa refuses to sell it as spares and installing a broken armrest is R8700.

@@nicowalters i tried but all the armrests from junkmail or scrapyards are broken or very damaged from scrapped polos. You want it new anyway thats scratch and damage free. I saw your armrest on takealot but im not comfortable attaching it to the plastic of the centrre console. The official armrest has metal bolts that you can bolt onto the cars chassis and aluminium internal supports rather then hanging onto the plastic. You just need the right tools to take the entire centre console off to reach the chassis.

@@nicowalters ps Bro. I don’t know why but I thought of this video again, your polo Vivo is not able to accommodate an armrest like the Mk 6R Polo can. It was a feature that the Polo Mk6R Gti had and it was cheaper for VW to drill mounting holes for the armrest for all the Polos then have a separate assembly line for only the GTI’s, so I could retrofit one easily. Your Vivo is based on the Polo Mk4 which never had armrests in any of the models, so there’s no way you can install an armrest at all (unless you want to take up 3D graphic deigning and want to have your design custom manufactured in China) and spend maybe 60 000 to get it specially made plus having to strip the entire interior to add mounting plates to the chassis 😂😂
