Won't save your life every time. Some people recently died in a cirrus when encountering wake turbulence of an a320 during short final. They fell out of the sky quicker than you can pull the shoot.

True, that Cirrus is using like 16 gallons per hour IN CRUISE on takeoff you'll be burning 37 gallons per hour.

SR22T supports a 310hp turbocharged continental engine. Lately not the most reliable engines, very expensive to maintain and operate. But if you can afford $820000 then I guess that’s what the parachute is for. Save your butt when the noise stops.

That’s where they got the 22 from! Learn something new every day. Oh but one more thing I gotta point out… there’s a common flaw in statistics surrounding this argument (sorry let me back track, the statistics aren’t wrong or right they just are what they are. We pick the point of comparison to compel people of our own opinions… I find it far less complicated and can save a whole lot of time if you can arrive at the point , the REAL discussions that should be. Had- which if I had to guess, in the case of The Cirrus SR22, I for one stand strong in my conviction. That the Oculus/Meta produce the most consumer friendly VR product for the last couple years, but that’s all about to change once the all new SR23 BlackBird takes to the sky again and crushes all the competition! And that is why I was more than happy to speak on the future of drones and DJI is my Strong Sell Stock pick of September!! Join me next week for another episode of the Sporty Sporty Sports Show! Same time every time each of those days every week it’s on!! Every time!!

Is it just me or does anybody else think that Cirrus' planes are seriously overpriced for what they are? Plane market is whack these days!
@surrealsupercell72177 ай бұрын
Saw an interesting video explaining why that is. The market is oversaturated with so many aircraft (many over 50 years old) thay anything new is heavily inflated for what it's actually worth. There's also the issue of regulation as airplanes are arguably heavily more regulated then cars.
@yeetskeet6913 ай бұрын
Adding on to this ^ I'm pretty (90%) sure the FAA has an approval process with lots of fees and such for non experimental aircraft. And accounting for inflation, cost of manufacturing and cost of the FAA's that's why the process are pretty high.

For about a third of that price you can buy a nice Cessna 340. Twin engines and pressurized.
@attacker72217 ай бұрын
And why do you think that is? Do you think you’re some genius who just found the deal of a lifetime? There is a VERY good reason why old Cessnas cost nothing. They are extremely unreliable and as a result, extremely expensive to insure and maintain. Over a decade the sr22 will cost you less than any legacy cessna twin. Guaranteed.

How many hours on engine? When is teardown due? When is the ballistic chute replacements due? When was the sat annual completed and what are the results? When is next major inspection due??? How many hours on airframe? How many hours on motor??? Video misses the most important items.

Ugh. I HATE when I’m seriously in the market for an $800,000 plane and the KZbin Shorts (obviously my preferred listing service) don’t give me full service logs, financing options, and an insurance broker! This place ain’t what it used to be.
