That Sony camera you’re using is insane. The fact that I can see color on the Galactic core using video is mind blowing.

We are already convinced guys. The novices at remote imaging who are unsure need to see how it is done.

I’m honestly so impressed with you guys that you have brought the remote observation field to the masses at a great price, after looking at other RO’s and looking at there prices you have made it more affordable to people who can’t afford the high price, I wish one day maybe I can try it myself I have decently dark sky’s here in Australia but very difficult for me to get decent time on some targets that hang out more in the Northern hemisphere

Have you all thought about doing some elevated floors, similar to a datacenter, so that you can run cabling under and not worry about tripping on anything? It may also reduce transmitting vibration into the piers from walking around the observatory. That second point might need some creativity but I would bet it’s possible.

I’m somewhat frustrated that I’m 5,000 miles away. I’m not sure I trust my very expensive gear to some box slinging cargo company. I doubt that it would arrive in one piece, let alone well collimated. But your set up looks fantastic and I wish you every success in your venture. You deserve it.

Living the dream guys, congratulations! It's definitely a goal of mine to have a telescope hosted at your facility some day :D I only had 80 hours of total exposure last season here at 63 degrees north and no darkness between end of april and end of august.

I see some flat panels in there that are quite a bit larger than the OTA. Do you have any rules or practices to prevent folks taking flats in the middle of the night and messing up others' imaging? I love what you're doing here. I'm strongly considering sending my 102mm down there. I couldn't even consider this previously with all the other sites that start at $800/night. Amazing view of the sky. I can't believe you can see the milky way even with your phone (or hand-held camera). Up here on the mid-atlantic coast near DC, I have yet to see the milky way even with my eyes.

Hi Bray, seriously considering your remote obs, just have a question I haven't seen asked or answered. If I ship all my gear to you in their original boxes and/or cases etc....what do you do with those after all the gear is setup on the pier? What if after a couple of years, I decide I want all that gear back, do you keep everything or is that all thrown out? This will help me decide if I ship everything, or do the 3000km (~ 1900 miles) drive down to Texas :)

A few questions. Is there a security cam so I can see my scope? And what about security. You have some kind of insurrance in case all the stuff gets stolen?
