What an amazing day this was!! We became dual pilgrims! We visited one of Japan's most beautiful shrines and soaked our achy muscles in one of their oldest onsens (hot spring)! Bucket list goals achieved! Where's the best hot spring you have ever been to?

Absolutely! The onsen is for 1 or 2 people at at a time. It is always private.

It's so nice to see that you're exploring more of the countryside of Japan. So many travel bloggers only seem to do the major cities and 'instagram spots'. I think the Japanese countryside and places that don't have many foreign tourists are the best parts of travel to Japan.

We definitely like to see the popular sites, but we really enjoy getting out to some of the lesser known and visited spots too! The Kumano Kodo and exploring the more rural areas were definitely the highlight of our trip to Japan!!! One of our goals is to get to more of the countryside in the countries we visit! I think you would do great on this trail! There are some areas with great views but there aren’t any areas on the trail that feel like there is a big drop off or anything like that. The trails are well marked and safe in our opinion! Thanks for watching!
