"How can we be from the future?" you might ask. Let us explain. Plants harvest light with near perfect efficiency. You may not realize it, but this is impossible under classical physics. Along the way to the photosynthesizing core - photons of light should collide with other particles, but they don't. A photon succeeding in reaching the core is as likely - as you sprinting blindfolded through a dense forest - reaching the center without striking a single tree.
Plants are engaged in a kind of miracle. The plant puts the photon into a state of quantum superposition, multiplying it by every route that photon could possibly take. Garret: I came across your philosophical KZbin videos when you released "We Are from the Future" (back in 2014). It resonated with a previously unspoken inner-knowing that I had experienced since childhood that I could never articulate. I feel like the affirmation that I experienced in watching that video shifted something inside of me that changed the trajectory of how I interact in the world. Thank you for having the self-reliance to share your experiences and insights. There are many of us that feel a renewed resolution to show up as our more authentic selves, from experiencing others being bold and reflecting back to us our deepest inner experiences. I have watched this video many times and I still love it. Basically the video is saying that we will become like plants in the near future. Our bodies will evolve from carbon based bodies to crystalline bodies. Right now we need food, water, and sleep to function. But when we evolve, we won't need food, water or sleep. Well said, Mike O'Hare, but I honestly think our "guiding light" will be revealed from within ourselves. We both know science isn't everything, because it can do so much for us. People like you and me are the huge difference between the countless things in this complex world we are all yet to understand, both good and bad. Like thinking of the greater good for example or why does life in general have any meaning to it.
